Nicely done. EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is one of the nicest 98's I've seen. Edited by sinisterNorth - 09 June 2007 at 12:29pm |

.
For the front grip hole, i'm thinking of making some sort of rifle foregrip, like an A5A2 grip, but less bulky. As for Paint, im thinking i may leave it the raw metal, sand it a bit so it's matte, then spray a matte clear coat over it, it'd almost be like a grey. Specs are basically what you see there, Cyclone, JCS combat stock, Palmers stabilizer, Proto 1 peice, Crossman red dot site, and homemade wooden grips.
EDIT: Oh, and nice avatar :P Edited by tippmannnewb - 09 June 2007 at 12:56pm |

Thanks If you do do it, don't use the same vertical adapter as the one i have, it and the palmers dont like eachother. Best bet would be to go with the V/A they sell on the palmers website. |

Ironically that is what is up on my other screen (two flat 17"s are awesome for forum and buying at the same time!). It's very tempting right now... |

Very nice. How hard were the grips to make? Also, how do you like the stock? |

The grips were fairly straight forward to make, just draw out your design onto a piece of wood (It would be easiest to trace around existing panels). Then after that I cut out the rough shape with a saw, and then fine tuned it with a belt sander. If you have the tools it’s a breeze. As for the stock, I love it. It’s very solid, there’s a very small side to side wobble, which is to be expected from a folding stock. Other than that it’s perfect. It is also made completely out of metal, for those of you like me, who are terrified of plastic. EDIT: USE HARDWOOD! Edited by tippmannnewb - 09 June 2007 at 6:25pm |

Nice, looks good I like the bare look, a bit too much like a real fire arm for me though. nice work on the grips, are you planning to oil them or run clear coat? |

Should have used acetone to get that paint off. That way you don't have all the scratch marks. A lot less work too. It looks good. You can kinda hold it like a speedball marker and it probably balances out with the tank. |
