It's funny, I don't know what it's like in other states, but concealed weapons are like driver's licenses in Texas. You almost expect people to have guns on them or in their cars. This may sound unbelievable, but when I worked at the grocery store where I lived, there was a really cool older (as in 50's, not elderly) guy that would come to the store. He had a CHL, and being fairly well off, always had a different one. He knew I had a thing for 1911's, so he'd show me his custom Kimbers/Colts. One time he was showing me a custom .45 he had built, and one of our bread guys walked in, and was like, "Nice gun man. I've got one just like it." It was funny as hell. Feel free to turn that story into something completely wrong, BTW, I know I would. |

Arizona is pretty easy to get a CCW as well. About a 6 hour class and have to hit a target from 10 feet away 10 times.

It's funny... I can carry around a M249, I can shoot people in foreign lands, and lead a squad, but I can't own a handgun...or legally drink. But...I can own an AK47 with a folding stock...? |

yes because owning a gun means you can not die. buy a gun to defend yourself incase youre shot at is a better idea. or purchase a kevlar vest and hope they only shoot 9mm |

You are responsible for your own protection...not the police. If you are truly scared of the crime in your area you might want to think about having the ability to protect yourself with a CCW. Your lucky your state grants you the right to self protection. Most of us are not as fortunate. |
