A man gets ready to go to sleep.  He walks up the stairs, goes into the bathroom, turns on the water and brushes his teeth.  He turns off the light and goes to sleep.  The next morning he is arrested for causing a boating accident.  What happened?

It isn't some wild answer like: He woke up in his sleep and ate at Denny's and then walked on water and threw his grand slam at the window of a freighter, breaking the window and impaling the Captain and his mates, which caused a giant explosion since they were carrying bombs.

he lives on a boat, left the water running, the sink was clogged which caused the boat to flood and sink.

i put toast in occasionally.  a lot of times its not done to the extent i want it, so ill put it back down.
