And its making me feel really inadequate.
I mean come on, who had participated in 15 after school activities and done over 10 jobs of volunteer work. Guess I'm not cut out for college. Edited by cdacda13 - 27 November 2007 at 12:47pm |

Thats going to be my main problem.
I'm a good student, 3.14 GPA, 84th in a class of 354. SATs- 590 on math and reading, 560 on writing. But those damn questions of volunteer work and extra-curricular activities, those are going to kill me. |

Ahh, and then there are the essays.
"Write a 5 page paper about how you cured cancer or did something nearly as important" You should just go to a trade school and become a mechanic. It's good money these days! Edited by Jack Carver - 27 November 2007 at 1:05pm |

I have a ton of community service which will help. Also one of my good friends is president of the organization, so he could always sign me up for a few extra... But no sports and not too many clubs which might be bad.

A 3.14 is only like a 70% right?

That seems pretty ridiculous Strife. How many places did you apply? Were they like Harvard and Yale? or just regular universities?

Did you not apply to any bigger schools? I feel like that GPA alone would get you denied from some bigger schools (no offense). Everything else is pretty solid. |
