What is the stock board in a custom pro e-grip and what are the other boards that are made for it and what are the pros and cons of the other boards.

The new egrips from Tippmann have a WAS board in them. You can also get an APE board installed into your egrip. Someone on here had a chart with infor on both boards. I know the APE goes up to 25bps and the WAS goes to 30. The APE has built in buttons to change firing modes.

i dont think that the board i have is eitheir of them because it says you can only get 18 bps out of it. If i was to upgrade to one of them boards what would i have to get so my cyclone feeder would keep up with it??

You would want to look into the Vortex Mods and maybe the QEPH.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

The APE rampage was the APE board I was talking about it has a max of 25bps. Your egrip may be an older one and personally I have no idea what kind of board is in the older egrips.

I just checked on Tippmann's website and their electronic trigger fires up to 17bps. Now it doesn't even say what board is in it so I really have no idea.

http://www.tippmann.com/product_guide/accesDetails.aspx?id=1 6

This seems weird to me because I have researched an Egrip for my 98 custom and am going to buy one soon and where ever I look for an Egrip they have a WAS board in it because Tippmann's new egips come with the WAS board stock, but on their website it show their old E trigger. I would guess this is the one you have and it doesn't seem to say what board is in it.

Not sure if that chart is completely correct.  I have the WAS board and have automatic mode, my turbo is adjustable (by making the limit of bps higher or lower), and maybe more

Ya some of this stuff is a little off. Even from website to website. I got this info off Tippmannparts for the APE rampage board.

8 base firing modes:
.        Semi
.        Burst (programmable 2-5 shots)
.        Reactive
.        True Full Auto
.        Turbo+ (programmable ramp point)
.        Rampage (programmable ramp and burst rounds)
.        PSP3 (tourney legal)
.        NXL Full Auto (tourney legal)

New Setpoints:
.        MGRF (5-30 BPS)
.        Dwell (2-20ms)
.        Debounce (2-20ms)
.        Burst Rounds (2-5)
.        Rampage Burst Rounds (2-5)
.        Turbo+ Ramp Point (4-10 PPS)
.        Rampage Ramp Point (4-10 PPS)
.        Base Group Enable (Semi/Burst/Reactive/Auto)
.        Ramp Group Enable (Turbo+/Rampage/PSP3/NXL)

This is off APE's website:

www.actionvillage.com and www.paintballdiscounters.com are both good places to look.  I think one of them even has a full kit of the vortex mods (I could be wrong)  but they both always have good prices.

You dont need both. The vortex was the only thing they sold for a while.

So a quick question to you all. How many BPS will an E-grip with the WAS board shoot on a stock marker. No vortex mod, no QEPH just the plain stock marker and the e-grip?

I ask this because i want to buy the e-grip with the APE board but tippmann pros dont have it in stuck. I have to call tomorrow to make sure they do not have it, because if they dont they i'll buy the WAS e-grip and later upgrade to the APE.

The egrip wil shoot the same, but you will probably have to lower the bps. I believe the stock cyclone is 15bps.

Yeah yeah im not looking for more than 15bps since i think i would be wasting a lot of balls, but i was wondering because since tippmannpros dont have the ape e-grip in stock i wanted to get the was e-grip and later upgrade since i have read its a lot better and has a lot more options. Thanks
