How much do you tip for food deliveries (pizza). I usually add $2 and round up to the nearest dollar and give them that. Is that ballpark?

it all depends, say it's a 16-18$ item, I'll give a 20 and tell them to keep the change.

This is for stuff under $20. When it's over $20 it's usually $3-$4. |

Why give them any money for deliveries? The make min wage doing an easy job. To hell with them I say.
Only wait staff deserve tips cause they work so damn hard. |

I never have it delivered, but I would base it off of how far they have to drive, starting out at $2 for sure.

Boo hoo, a guy who'se job description includes deliveries IS NOT DOING YOU A FAVOUR!
He's just doing his job, why give him a handout for that? I wish i made an extra two bucks from every idiot i meet on a daily basis on top of my wage. |

They make much of their living through tips and would not get by without them. Unless it is too low, "keep the change" works for me |

When I deliver (these are for big deliveries though), I usually get around 3%-7% tip I'm guessing, plus around $20 per delivery no matter what, whichh is pretty good. So to load everything, drive to the place, then set up 3-4 chauffeurs from the car, load them with food from the hot box, put out salad, dressing, ect is usually good for around 30-40 bucks. The prep work and timing is the hardest part, but it's quick money. Don't get me wrong, it's still stressful making sure you have everything and doing it under the gun, but once you do it a few times you sort of get your own system down.t. A few weekends ago I delivered for grad parties all day and made like $250, so it's definitely worth it.

so who do you tip? I mean... since basically everyone's job descriptions in the service industry is to provide you with a service. you must just get treated like crap from bartenders and such. |

I deliver Chinese food. Average tips are 5-8 bucks per house. make 15-80 bucks a night in tips
If I do order delivery food I tip 7 bucks. Usually a restaraunt that has delivery food is crap quality. Like the place I work at |
