Ok after I decided I wanted the Draco I did a bit more research and emailed some people and realized that I cannot get it shipped to me and cannot get it in any store near me for 2 reasons: 1. I cannot get this guitar in any store near me or find anywhere online that will ship to Canada. Although this may have something to do with the fact that the ones I can find online all say will be available September 30th. 2. The nearest guitar store is Axemusic and they do have BC Rich guitars, but when I emailed them they told me that BC rich was backordered 4 months and they also have a 3 month delivery time. I was told that the Draco would only be available online as well so no in store playing or testing. I decided that I shall look into what guitars Axe Music does have and one caught my eye: http://www.espguitars.com/guitars_ax.html I looked into the pickups and noticed that this guitar has 2 EMG 81 active pickups. I looked into these and they are supposed to be quite good pickups. I am still undecided on black or red though. If anyone has had any experience with ESP or this guitar in perticular your opinion reviews are welcome. This guitar seems to be quite better quality than the Draco and it is actually cheaper. I am basically looking for a comparason between the 2. For those of you who missed the Draco thread: http://www.tippmann.com/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=176 988&PN=2 Edited by jordanpischke - 23 July 2008 at 12:58am |

My first guitar was an ESP MH-50. I love that freaking thing and I still play it. It has a very fast neck, I enjoy playing it.

Well it is about a new topic, but I guess I probably could have just bumped the old one. I was going to just post in the old one but then people who didn't actually go into the thread would think it was about the draco still. |

ESP has some quality guitars on their lower end line. More reputable than B. C. Rich by far, but I'd still recommend saving and buying something good.

I'm taking a trip to a city that has a guitar center this weekend, so if I get a chance to go on, I'll take a look around and see if they happen to have one of these, and give you my review next week.

It's not an ESP guys, it's an LTD. Anyone know how the LTD quality is?

I believe it's a sub-division of ESP, like how Squier is to Fender, although I'd imagine LTD's would out-perform Squiers. Looks like a good mid-range guitar. Not a fan string-through bridges. I'd recommend trying to get a Floyd Rose on it or something comparable. Edited by PaiNTbALLfReNzY - 23 July 2008 at 3:36pm |

The AX-400 that I'm assuming the OP is referring to, as it's in the thread title, clearly says "LTD" on the headstock. Which leads me to believe, that it is in fact, an LTD, and not an ESP. Correct me if I'm mistaken somehow. |

Might have just been a generalization by the OP. Either way, it still looks like a solid guitar. Like I said though, if I were you, I'd save up and get a quality custom guitar, like a Jackson RR1. But I'm pretty bias, because once you own one you wonder why you wasted so much time/money on lower end stuff. |

While I understand why people like Floyd Rose, I've no choice but to say: String through > *. Though that has a lot to do with my belief that the telecaster is in many ways the greatest guitar ever created. |

I kind of dig the solid body. While I do enjoy the acoustic resonance of a semi-hollow thinline Tele, I just like the fuller tone from a solid slab of wood. This is a picture of mine: ![]() I'll try to get a picture of MINE in a few days, along with my other guitars if anyone is interested in seeing them. |

I don't dig ESP much anymore, besides rock they have No other really decent sounds, though they do make that "crunch" sound that only an ESP can make. I'd personally pass on the ESP and look into a Jackson.
