So here at school we have a liaison from the local BOCES who handles a bunch of technical stuff for the library. She's a great person, easy to work with, and has her stuff together so when I need to work with her she knows what she needs from me and I can help her out because she can communicate like a person.

The only thing is....she's got two different colored eyes. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I feel like I'm in a strange position when I talk to her. If I look at her when I'm speaking my head is screaming "SHE KNOWS YOU'RE LOOKING AT HER EYES! LOOK AWAY!" If I don't look at her the little jerk in my brain is yelling "SHE KNOWS YOU'RE NOT LOOKING AT HER BECAUSE OF HER EYES! YOU'RE BEING RUDE, LOOK AT HER!"

That is all. For the life of me I don't know why I share things on here, but there you go.

You could always just ask her. Maybe it's a glass eye and she'll let you hold it. That would make for a good story.

Look at one color on even days of the month, and the other color on odd days of the month. Or you can base it on mood and she will subconsciously learn if you're upset or happy by how you look at her. It'll freak her out.

She's used to it, she's older.

She's had people look at her eyes weird for years.  All you have to do is look at her face and NOT make it weird.

I'm sure a lot of people with Heterochromia got all sorts of made fun of when they were little.  Be the bigger man and NOT make it any more awkward for her.

If anything at all, compliment her on it.  "Hey, that's pretty cool, you had that your whole life?"  cause heterochromia can come from an eye injury or genetics.

Complimenting her on it now would be kind of weird. She would probably know you had to think about it if you waited a while before "noticing" them.

I've always had a fascination with odd eyes. Like mentioned different colored eyes. That, and I've always thought it would be sweet to have pink eyes like some albinos. Or yellow eyes like that kid from A Christmas Story!

My friend on the baseball team has two different colored eyes. It's not really a big deal, im sure if you just mention it once it won't be awkward anymore.
