That's...good? What kind of work did they have you doing?
I got the flexors and extensors of the forearm down today in gross anatomy lab, which I was pretty pleased with. |

I do oil changes/tire rotations right now. My friends dad made a comment about not taking their jeep up there anymore since I'm working there, he was joking but if he saw some of what went on I know he wouldn't.

lol i was a tire and lube tech... get used to the motor oil... it will get into your skin as you work and will ooze out as you sweat... the GF was pissed cuz all her sheets got stained with motor oil...

I had some friends who worked at Jiffy Lube, and some others who worked at a Shell, they said you end up doing some pretty cool jobs over time, and make some good money.

Eh, I have an advanced metals class and autos class, so the first 4 hours of every day I'm in a shop, usually 2 hours metals then 2 hours autos, so I'm used to being in a shop for a good amount of time.

In all the time I've spent in the lab at school nothing in the auto shop ever really scared me. Well today at work, I finally found what scares me,
The Cheetah Bead Sealer. Used to get stubborn beads to seat when putting tires on rims. Air it to 160 PSI, stick it in there and open the valve. Holy crap. He goes over and yells, watch your ears and all of a sudden I can't hear anything, the air rushing our so far deafened me for a moment. It was something else.  |

actually when i worked at a quicklube it dried out my hands... probably because i washed my hands/arms like 20 times a day to avoid always smelling like motor oil, as well as other problems meantioned. |

we had one guy that would fill tires to 65+ psi on the tire machine to get the beads to seat... i would go on break right about the time i saw him mounting the tire...
