Some people are trying so hard to be politcally correct these years that some people have the urge to say Holiday so they don't "offend" anyone.

It's a christmas tree. I understand Happy Holidays, but the tree itself is a Christmas tree.

It's kind of annoying having people wish me a happy holiday I don't celebrate, but whatever.

To be politically correct it's a Christmas tree, I can understand saying happy holidays instead of merry Christmas to someone but changing the names of things is just stupid. Politically correct means nothing theses days.

The religious holiday Christmas has nothing to do with trees. Therefore its a damn Christmas tree and if people complain than they need to die.

Que pasa?

i probably shouldnt even open up my mouth, as i know its been said many times before and a bit naive, but why is it only christians who are in the wrong for expressing their beliefs?

i dont follow any religion and i still find it stupid that its alright for everyone else to express a religion but Shiva forbid the christians praise some jesus and associated holidays?

Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah... all holidays, but its bad to say Merry Christmas because it has 'Christ' in it...

Its disrespectful to others they say. Its disrepectful to have Freedom of Religion?

Ha, it reminds me of the day I was "attacked" by 3 christians in my driveway. I about hit the floor when the guy flat out told me Everyone else is wrong. I was like DUDE? anyway... thats not even relevant i guess

whatever...

Why is it wrong NOT to say "merry Christmas" if you don't care for the holiday?

Nobody in government is forcing businesses to say holiday instead of Christmas. NOBODY. There are no laws, rules, edicts, declarations, or mandates by any governing authority about it. In fact, politicians that do force the issue, are generally in favor of holidays that Christians celebrate.

Businesses replace Christmas with holiday so that the non-Christians feel less out of place (thus making them more likely to shop at their stores). It is a rare thing for a Christian to care enough not to shop at a store for the same replacement so it is only in their benefit to have this policy.

PEOPLE replace Christmas with holiday because *guess what?*

NOT EVERYBODY IS FREAKIN' CHRISTIAN

Don't get all pissy if someone doesn't say "you too" after a "merry Christmas" greeting. It's likely that he doesn't celebrate it.

The reason no non-christian uses their own holiday in the greeting... because the people crying out about the "War on Christmas" make the non-Christians feel rude about the greetings of their own holidays.

Christians, quit acting as if you're some oppressed minority because 25 of out 100 people don't care for a holiday you celebrate that has its origins in religions you now see as Satanic. All others, carry on as usual.

Dismal Festivus everybody.
