So, I am looking for a knife.

I currently carry this knife.  Absolutely love it.  Really love the spring assist.

However, I am seeking a knife that meets some specifics specs:

- folder

- blade less than 2.5" (preferably well below, so there won't be a discussion)

- full-size handle, or at least largish and comfortable (all my shorty knives have uncomfortable shorty handles, which makes them useless)

- easy one-handed opening (spring assist preferred)

- must fit deep in picket with minimum visible exposure

Does such a knife exist?  Any suggestions/recommendations?

These guys make some nice, affordable blades. I have a bigger folder  from them that I keep in my turnout gear.

soo hard to find the right knife under 3".   everyday at work i was wishing i had a small knife i wouldnt notice in my pocket, to cut this and that.  I'm not into serrated edges.  I scooped up a 3" folding gerber knife with soft rubber handle. 10 bucks. its decent i like it. but i could never find the one i wanted under 3".  I wish i could find a picture. 3" inch folding fine edge. and that thumb assist for 1-hand opening. happy hunting

I love kershaw blades. I owned one of them for quite some time until I snapped the tip off of a blade while trying to use it as a screwdriver. Angry

I really like Kershaw's shorty blades. Gerber has few nice ones available as well. I currently carry a CRKT and it's holding up nicely for me.
Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Link?

I just went to Gerber's site and couldn't find a CRKT - or any other 1" folders, for that matter.

See, this is where you need to be crafty. Tell the woman that she has a choice. You can either teach him how to use a pocket knife properly, or how to shoot.

Don't just leave it at that though. Go into the costs and benefits. Once she finds out how expensive and time consuming it is to teach your little-one to shoot, she'll think the pocket-knife is a great idea. It's all about misdirection!
