Who is Obama's protocol advisor, needs to read up and explain to Obama and wife some official international protocol issues.
2X in one day and counting.

Please stop the nonsense.

I know you read the crap you're about to spew on yahoo.

It also said the queen broke protocol not her.

Oh and breaking protocol=putting her arm around her. OMG

"Mrs. Obama clearly made an impression with the 82-year-old monarch, so much that the smiling queen strayed from protocol and put her arm around the first lady in a rare public show of affection."

lolwut?

OS I feel sorry for you being cooped up on the computer all day, but honestly you and FE really should spend a little time finding a suitable political forum to post most of this whiney crap on.

Oh look, the guy in the White House farted again today. We must make a thread on it.

I laughed at that one too... It has a bunch of videos loaded on it of Obama's speeches too...

I guess thats better than the DVD's that Obama gave Brown... I heard they weren't pal format either... Dur!

*note to jmac3 (banned much?) this is the proper way to back up claims, see the little links below each statement, which give credibility and facts to the above statements...

Yes FE, I have been banned twice. Does that have any relevance?

You usually back up your claims with nonsense articles that half the time are saying the opposite of what you are arguing. Not to mention in this post you are arguing about Obama giving an Ipod and DVD's like that at all matters to anything that has to do with this country. You are not even making claims, you are just linking to blogs and other people complaining.

All I could think of when I read this was how our hero Jack Ryan was always ignoring/circumventing policy and procedure/protocol when dealing with foreign dignitaries.

Does that mean that the Obamas = Jack Ryan?

hmm...

I may have to change my position on "the obama"... as I love Jack Ryan... He's like Jack Bauer with a little Macgyver mixed in, and a ton of "chip" on his shoulder.

Woot!

Also bowing to the King of Saudi Arabia- culturally that shows a subservient position to the King. Protocol states that the US President does not bow to any foriegn dignatary, let alone a foriegn King. Read history much Jmac3. (a suggestion if you do not like the content of the posts, you do have the option to not respond, but at least research the response prior) Also there is a certian protocol in foriegn relations, as a guest of the Queen of England it is protocol as well as century's worth of tradition, for the Queen to initiate any contact, be it a hand shake or a touch or a hug. Disrespecting the traditions of another leader, is not justified, even if it is later excused, the President and First Lady should be better prepared for the traditions, and protocols of the nation they are visiting.
Obama and Wife are just showing how ignorant they are of history, tradition, and protocols. And the protocol advisor is not doing his job. And the "puff" pieces offering excuses and acceptance are damage control, If a foriegn dignatary in an official visit to the US offered Obama and wife fried chicken and watermelon, would that be a protocol problem or a welcomed show of affection?

What about grape drink?
"Abortion is not "choice" in America. It is forced and the democrats are behind it, with the goal of eugenics at its foundation."

Somehow I don't quite get the jump from hugging the queen to blatantly racist stereotypes against black people. I think you missed a few steps leading into your analogy there, OS.

Thanks for the unneeded racial jabs again there OS. Really proves your point. And wait, so if a us dignitary goes to japan, they can't bow? That seems far more insulting to me than bowing.
Also, coming from the Yukon, and having been to Alaska/ having family in Alaska....I can't even imagine how Sarah Palin would have been on the world stage....good god.
