what do you think is causing the bulge? what do you mean it fires by itself? like you pull the trigger and it just starts shooting and won't stop or what? who installed the e-grip?

i think the buldge is from battery
I pick it up and it just starts firing without pulloing the trigger
The grip came with the gun

you got me without actually seeing the marker up close and personal. i would be concerned that the safety does not work. and just firing by picking it up hhmmmm! that may be an indicator of where the problem COULD be. if the marker was dropped and somehow scrambeled the e-grip board or loosened some wires that could be the problem. if you don't feel confident in grabbing your manuel and having a go at it; send it back. or take it to a a pro shop and have them check it out. hope its under warrenty. tippmann is really good at working with people about this stuff.
peace

Have you take your gun apart? or even just taking a grip off the side to see what is causing the buldge?

I just had this when I checked my e-grip. 98 c act/ e trigger, cyclone feeder.
after i replaced a broken magnet, the rod to the sear pin was making contact with the board and shorting across it. this resulted in eratic firing.
my fix was electrical tape on the board. it will wear thru over time though.
hope this helps.

I believe this is your problem and was actually going to say something similar until i read 66fergies post. I would not use tape since it will leave a sticky residue Some have say get some clear nail polish and lightly put it on the metal between the board and marker etc.. of course remove your - egrip Make sure to not put it on the board noid magnet or rod |
