And I guess that's the rub. Is this something that is a character flaw or is it truly an illness? I have what I would consider to be an addictive personality. I have always steered clear of experimenting with heavy drugs (cocaine, heroine, etc) because I always knew that if I started, I would most likely end up in a gutter somewhere choking on my own vomit. Character issue =/= medical issue

People have sex because they want to.  If you can't suffer physical issues due to withdrawal, it's not an addiction.  It's just making bad choices.
