TPX Pistol Marker

Is this something worth buying or just a some little trinket and if it is worth my money what stands out

Is the giant red text necessary?

The TPX is a novelty. In theory, it's terrific. But in actual usage, it's severely lacking. It's great that the grip fits your hand nicely, and it's great that it's magazine-fed. It's also great that the mags are cheap. But you can only hold 7 balls in a magazine, because if you load all 8, it tends to jam and chop. If you chop, as you most likely will, you have to tear it all down (which is not easy at all, especially the mags) to clean it. It also sucks that you cannot change the CO2 when you'd like. My TPX doesn't even like shooting the 12g empty.

Tippmann is supposed to be coming out with different mags soon, such as an extended mag (I'm praying for 10 shot, single-stack), and a 7 shot single-stack mag. If you run it on remote, and when Tippmann releases the new mags, it may be better, but for now, I'm not impressed.

And this is coming from an avid pistol player.

the would be the tac 8, tiburus. but i would think the tpx is better because u can chage 3-4 clips before you have to change the 12gram. i cant wait to get my tpx in the next few weeks

That aside, you can reload the Tiberius around 3 times before you have to change the CO2. Changing the 12g every reload is wasteful and unnecessary...

Though still relatively new to paintball.  I did pick up the Tiberius T8 for a sidearm (did this because my remote line was acting up on my Project Salvo).  After doing some research I thought the Tiberius T8 would be a good choice.

If you mean you can fire 9 mags through a TPX off of a single 12 gram I am throwing the BS flag.  Most of the people I know with them change the 12 gram after two mags because they don't have enough left for another mag.  I am getting nearly four magazines off of my 12 grams but I am only loading 7 in the 8-round stock magazines and shooting at velocities in the mid 250s.*


*Because if I'm using the pistol on the field, it's most likely going to be a close range situation.  (Bunkering, CQB in buildings, panicked close defense, etc.)

Edited question:  Are you saying the straight feed 7 round magazines are out?  If so, link please.

yeah, im way excited for this gun, but a few things that i REALLYYY hope they design are these: a high-cap tru-feed mags- like 20-30 or so rounds, a stock system hopefully like that of the HK MP7 but possibly they will slide the bottom of the stock over so as not to upset the users forearm, and then a holster to hold the gun if it it has a foregrip- at least a folding one, sorta turning this into a mp7, but that is an awesome design for a gun, that and it haveing a remote line would even make it a formidable primary
