I watched the game yesterday and loved it.

I love international competitions, I get really in to the sport even if I would never watch it otherwise, just to see the US win. Back in the Olympics, I watched curling...

Maybe some qualification there, as Soccer is the worlds most played and watched sport.

The 2010 SWC is supposed to have a cumulative audience of of 30 BILLION by the final.

I don't think that many pople have watched many other sports cumulatively since the beginning of time.

Oh and yes I'm watching them :P

I was watching the WC and the 24 hour Le Mans race last night.  Woke up and watched the end of the race, and the Serbia Ghana game this morning.

I think I'm missing a game right now.

How annoying are those horn things?

I dislike soccer, and I am still happy that Philthadelphia lost the stanley cup.

In the words of Steven Colbert, "Soccer is the most popular sport everywhere else in the world. So tell me, why is the rest of the world wrong?"

Quite honestly, the horns work really well when at a match. They definately add to the atmosphere.

But they should develop a filter to prevent that wavelength being transmitted on TV.

The best thing they seem to be doing this world cup is yellow carding the cry babies. Damn I've been wanting to do that for ages.   Recently it seemed like soccer was about getting into the penalty area with the ball and falling over.

I enjoy a good game of soccer, but I'm no soccer fan. Same as I can enjoy a good Ice Hockey or American Football game.   Baseball though, What The Hell? Is there a more boring sport to watch?

I honestly don't get the USA's hate for the rest of the world's sports. Especially the derogatory comments about "soccer being for girls, real men play football" when it is clear "football" is a softer form of Rugby. Learn to take a tackle noobs :)

Is there anywhere besides Espn3.com to stream the matches online?  I would like to watch the current Italy v Paraguay game, but all I can find are live updates.

Any "sport" that ends in a tie...

sucks.

you can have your "fuutball" world, I see lots of nil, and ties in the future.

every time I hear the horns they sound like "boooooooooorrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnggggg" to my ears.

and I like soccer.
They tremble at my name...

Nope.  It got stolen a while ago and I haven't bothered with buying a new one.

And no, we're on our way back.  It may have taken 63 minutes to score, but we're finally getting the hang of it.

Also,  how great is it that a guy named Keisuke Honda scored the winning goal for JAPAN during their game? I love it.
