   I talked about this last night in the chatroom, I figure I'll announce it here too. 
I will soon be launching a weekly Podcast with my best friend and soon-to-be roommate Ashley. 

The idea came from a series of things: 

Both of us being really big fans of local entertainment talk radio. I've been listening to talk radio since I was in middle school, and have followed the ins-and-outs and people involved in it for a long time now. 
I actually started off in college wanting to get a degree in broadcasting so I could work in radio. 
My friend and I talk about really entertaining things on a regular basis, and quite a few people who have heard us talking about these things have said we should start recording them. 
We are both big fans of local Podcasters and know a few of them on a pretty friendly basis. 

So yeah, we already have the stuff we need: Two basic USB mics, a webcam, a UStream account and Audacity download and we're making a website on a basic Wordpress template.

The title of the Podcast is going to be "This is a Podcast," because we both love literal humor. 

We're not sure about times of the week yet, but the goal is to copy another local Podcasters plan, which is to do the show "live," on U-Stream and then edit/post it later using Audacity. 

That way we can take calls via Skype and have people share their own crazy stories and thoughts on the nonsensical things we talk about.

That is where you come in. 

Once we get everything up and running (As in once I bother to sign up for a dedicated Skype line) I'll announce the number here so you all can listen and call in if you want to. 

If people actually listen, it'll be cool. If not, I'm out the cost of a Skype line. Oh well. 

I'm excited that this is actually coming to fruition.
