Just saw the deals on HP Touchpads ($100 for 16GB, which seem to be sold out; $150 for 32GB which, one of which I just bought from PC Richard and Son) and couldn't help myself.

But if you want to try out a tablet, there will either be lots of cheap ones floating around soon (running WebOS which may or may not be supported), or you can try one new one right now!

Either way, I am a sucker for a good deal.

Is it common knowledge that HP is supposedly bailing on computer stuff?

My ol' lady just purchased a Kindle. And managed to pick up all the textbooks we need (For our own classes and for the ones we are teaching) for somewhere around $40. Which was nice, as they were going to be well more than $100 to buy even the used print versions.

It is a good deal, but I have a feeling WebOS is going to be vaporware soon. Which means a complete lack of applications for it.

But it you just surf the interwebs on your couch, it is perfect.
