Snipers In Paintball (Read)

Okay, I have read other threads about snipers in paintball, and how people hate them, and think they are useless. I can clearly see how people would see this, if you are playing speedball, a sniper is absolutely useless, however, if you are playing woodsball, your sniper is your teams MVP. He is only an important member of the team if he has a good shot, he knows how to use camoflauge to his advantage, has the patience to wait it out to have a good clear shot at his target, and have the ability to move very slowly without being detected. If he doesn't, then you are right, he is useless. I passed my U.S. Army Sniper School at Fort Benning Georgia last fall. And now i have learned these important key aspects of being a good sniper. For example, when i wear my Ghillie Suit, that I was required to make for Sniper School, one is virtually impossible to locate until the second shot is fired (if one knows how to use a sniper web properly). Also, for paintball guns in particular, a 12 inch barrel that will put a backspin on the ball will help reach maximum effectiveness. I'm not saying you should be a sniper, all I'm trying to get out is that they shouldn't be underestimated on the frontline, or woodsball field. You might say, dude your in the Army so you are thinking in terms of accual combat. Well, yes, but these same rules apply to paintball as well.

People who flame other people on this topic are idiots, the only reason they think sniper are unimportant is because in paintball they are not in a life or death situation, get them on the frontline and they will be happy as can be that they have a expert marksman giving them cover. But you are right, there are ignorant people who think they know everything about everything, and you will just have to blow that off because the bottom line is that snipers help, whether you like it or not. And you know what they say, "Snipers are the best shooters on the field...but they are also the most hated by the enemy." The people that flame other people over this topic probably have a problem with snipers because they have been beaten, I wont go into detail about my sniper detail in iraq, but in paintball, I once eliminated an entire time because i knew all the important aspects of being a sniper thanks to my instructor at sniper school.
