new pope was just elected. the bells are ringing in vatican city. so when do we find out who the conclave picked? the news says it'll be about and hour or 2. so who do you think it ?

Though I don't believe ti will be the black dude, just becasue I don't think there has never been one before...

Although my idea was on track considering back then blacks were treated as lesser, and so thinking one as being a pope back then didn't seem right. I'm not a racist/bigot, blacks are fine as pope, i'm just stating back in that timeframe it would have been weird

Back then christianity was not widespread. So a lot of people practicing the religion were people of color(black, middle eastern), the white blond haired blue eyed christians of europe hadnt arived on the scene yet. But there hasnt been a black in the inner sanctum of christianity for some time. Also, there is a small percentage of black catholics as well. But i have seen black preists, they exist, but there arent nearly as many as there are whites.

And if you were in Nazi Germany you wouldn't have joined the Nazi's. Guess what he had no choice. All BOYS and men had to fight in the army unless they were disabled. If they didn't join the army the SS or gestopo would have killed him.

I'm glad they elected a conserative Pope like Ratzinger.
