LPK, e-grip w/blade trigger, new barrel/barrel kit, a good reg, fast hopper, and air tank.
In short, if you don't really love your tippmann, sell it and get an ion lol. I say keep the tippy though. ;) |

Agreed, With the money you'll spend you can get a good tourny gun out
of the box. I upped my 98 a bit and use it as a backup/woods gun.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

Yes the ion would be better for electro tourneys.
I use my tippmann for mech tourneys and it pretty much PWNZ |

If you have the 98, get an e-bolt or build your own... It'll definately be able to keep up with an Ion. I've got an E-bolted 98 that i've put together and right now it functions and minus the HPA tank and Hopper which you'd have for either gun it has cost me under $300... Granted i'm gonna spend a bit more to get it exactly as I want it, but for an ebolt setup (including the base gun) that isn't bad, and it's a tippmann...

I wouldn't say 'keep up' with an Ion, but you could close the gap a bit. If you put $300 dollars into an Ion, then there is no question that it would surpass the 98. |

quoted for truth If you want to go the cost efficient way, not only can you build your own ebolt, but you can build your own LPK. |
