mortar complete

im finally done!    my pvc cannon wasn't standing up so i went mettal.

heres what i used: 2" steal pipe-cut and threaded, 2" to 1" fittings, 90* elbos, short 1" pipe, 1" ball valve, pvc barrel left over from cannon.

 

i made a better video of the mortar in the making. I tryed making a stand and a butt plate but it wasn't working. i like it w/o it anyway. When i was putting it together, it was difficult. i had to use allot of teflon tape on the threads, and i had to barrow 2 pipe wrench's to tork the fittings on.

i based my cannon on this look. i only had black paint so i painted it black

Hm, interestingly enough, you can weld the back end of a used AT-4 rocket launcher and fabricate a base plate, you can make yourself a neat little mortor tube, it wont last long though.

I really don't know why I watched that since your voice annoys the heck out of me but nothing against you. Although I'm not seeing the difference between your cannon and mortar. All you did was use metal instead of PVC and turned the shooting angle upwards. This changes it to a mortar? Now I could be wrong on this but some simple research on google says that mortars are powered by a propellant, not air pressure. But other than that good job and quit shooting water, I wanna see something go flying and actually watch it.

generally cannons arent fired at a high arc, mortars are. and both use propellants to fire their rounds, but im pretty sure hes not gonna go and load the thing with gun powder. cannons are used for hitting stuff like walls, mortars are more used to arc rounds over walls and stuff

im still making my mortar better.

-im going to make a us a design so that i can load the barral breech style.

-paint and put logos

-maybe a sprinkler valve modified to a push button fire
