Soo I'ma an Autococker newbie. How much of a problem is short stroking? and is it worth buying an electro grip? what are some of the best and how good is the aftermarket accessories selection for them? anyone here with alot of autococker knowledge who could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Short stroking is easy. Autocockers with E2's are very very sweet. Autocockers have one of the highest amounts of accessories. The list goes on and on. Really the only thing is sometimes they can be hard to maintenince and to time. But other than that they are really good guns. You can either make it a Electric or a pump, or just a regular cocker. I hope i helped.

"At any time" is a bit of an overstatement. None of those conversions are something you can to quickly, but they can all be done. But they all require different components and upgrades, so you probably want to choose is your gun will be mech or electro (or pump) before starting major upgrades, so you don't have to waste time/money on the wrong upgrades. Shortstroking just takes a little bit of practice to avoid. |

timing isn't hard... cockers are pretty reliable. once you have it timed correctly, it shouldn't have a short-stroking problem. check out the "prostock" thread. to learn a fun way to learn to time an autococker.

Bleh, I still stand by the fact that e-kits for cockers are ludicrously overpriced. Just get a nice mechanical frame like a Benchmark, and a decent roller sear/trigger kit, and tune it nice. A nice 3-way like a Shocktech Bomb or Orracle 3-way will help as well.

Thanks Enos , I've been lurking in the autococker threads , hoping to pick up a few pointers , got a Prostock about a month ago .. For Milsimballer , I took it out for a night of speedball , shot about a thousand rounds , feeding it with a Revvy , and chopped only one ball , I probably shortstroked it . Overall Not bad considering . I think the newer Prostocks (mechanical , but very upgrade-able as mentioned above ) are less likely to shortstroke . I was originally thinking about converting to pump (about $ 35.00 from WGP) , but will keep it semi for now , until I get used to it . The aftermarket selection of accesories is staggering , so the only upgrade I am making for the time being , is 'Natch , a barrel with inserts to match locally available paint sizes , the stock barrel is around .691" (havent verified that yet , but paint keeps rolling out the end of my barrel when I point it downward |

i wouldn't recommend them though. pump>mech>electro, as far as cockers go, imho... ...that wasn't supposed to rhyme. seriusly. |

Hinge trigger which pretty much all mech cockers are now. Are ridiculusly hard to short stroke if timed correctly Slide triggers are a differents story. but with an E1 or E2 youre guranteed not to shortstroke.

with my old cocker i had a reflex frame and an after market ram/3-way. it was really reliable and hardly ever short stroked, it could out shoot a revvy pretty easily as well.

I would imagine as fast as you can cycle the trigger . My guess is that I was shooting , at times up to 6-8 BPS (more than a little out of practice here ) , the revvy will only reliably feed around 10 BPS at most . Thats pretty much straight out of the box . Oh , wait a minute I added a Pretty barrel , Thats guaranteed to add 3BPS isnt it ? |

im pretty sure hes just trying to get posts. the ones you see for $100 are probly knock offs (not made by WGP). some have more complex body styling, more high end parts, electro vs. mech, etc. |

The Halo B wont fit unless you get a clamping feedneck , I had to shave down the Revvy to fit into the feedneck of the prostock . No Biggie , but thought I'd pass that on . |
