so, ive never been in a real fight before...
a guy at work was talking trash saying he could kick my butt so i told him i have 200$ saying i can beat him and take his money... doubt he will show but its going to be an MMA style fight (its for sport more than hate) i basically have a dozen people willing to put money on him so i can win/loose as much as i want... he is 6'2-3" 165lbs im 5'8" 185lbs he can hit me in the face before i can make contact with his body... my plan will be to kick the heck out of his leg and then go for a take down, i know il have him on the ground as i used to wrestle my cousin who is about his size and had no problems... edit: any tips? Just don't rely on brute force alone, use speed but use your brain too. Don't be afraid to be agressive and take a shot, if you get caught dodging blows constantly with no offense of your own, you are done.

lol Seriously...
First of all, unless you want your ass taken down before you even have a chance I suggest NOT throwing kicks. Your best bet would be to "dirty box" with him get him a bit flustered by grinding him down. Then you drop for the take down and get a side mount on him and rain down some Elbows. Go watch Some Randy Couture fights. A good example would be Randy vs Sylvia. Work that stradigy. |

My tip is save yourself the possible humiliation and be the bigger (no pun intended) man.
This whole MMA UFC obsession is obnoxious. Everybody under the sun wants to start kicking asses and become a professional fighter...one of my friends is a black belt and just got into it.
To each his own, but I just find fighting for any reason other than self-defense silly to the third degree. That's just my opinion, and apparently I'm in the minority on this one.
But in any case don't let his size fool you. I'm 6'5" 210 and generally in pretty good body shape, and I have several friends 5'9 5'7 that I'm confident could thoroughly open a can on me. Confidence and experience wins a fight, not size.
And like someone already said, I'd avoid the whole leg kicking idealogy...I can see that leaving you open for a nasty broken nose.
