well tomorrow i'm gonna go get more details... Milage, Engine condition ETC ETC...
But there is a 900$ 69 Red Mercury Couger... Fine body condition, Hardly any rust... Everything looks great, and i'm concidering talken to my parents about it, if it indeed turns out to be a good deal.. I want to know what people think about the car, The thing looks hot as hell to me but I want to see if any one here knows it's performance etc etc.. I have a 90's caravan that is about to die on me... So i'm looken for a new car.. Edited by *Stealth* |

Yeah I say go for it.
Just look at milage and engine condition before you do anything. And make sure it runs fine. |

Personally, I would probably pass on it, unless you know a mechanic or have good knowledge yourself. You don't want to buy something that you're just gonna have to dump money into, which older cars are notorious for.
Personally, I think everyone has too low of expectations! Nobody believes that you can get a good car for less than $2000, but they're wrong! Look into a 1990 or newer Nissan 240sx or an Altima if you want some room. I have seen 5speed 1995 Altima GXE's for $1600 on Craigslist, and there are currently a 1990 240sx and a 1993 240SX for less than $1500. Basically, you can spend a bit more and get a much more practical car. |

![]() If it doesn't come with a big block V8 I wouldn't mess with it. With as much as the cars weigh and as little horsepower they put it out (compared to modern moderns of the same displacement) the outcome may not be worth the work. For $900 bucks there is something that is going to require some major work. |

Do you have absolutely any idea how much that car is going to cost you in the long run? Stick with new(er) cars, and dependable ones such as Hondas and Toyotas. May not be flashy or powerful, but boy will they save you money in the long run. |

seriously though, for any price you are willing to pay for a car, I'll bet you can find a Nissan model that would fit your cause better than any other manufacturer. After experiences with both domestic and fpreign cars, I found it really is no comparison! Especially when you are looking into a 4cylinder car...the US sucks at making 4-bangers! Instead of being like these Japanese, who take a 4-cylinder car, and instead of just adding displacement to make it more powerful like Americans do, they put 4 valves on each cylinder and pull as much power as a lot of American 6-cylinders...all the while being more relibale, economocal, and tunable for a cheaper price. Ever seen an American 4-Cyclinder car pull 600 horsepower at the rear-wheels? Me neither! But I have see a WHOLE BUNCH of 2.0 liter Nissan 240sx's pushing over 600HP and 1200 torque at th rear-wheels....American car-makers can't do this in their dreams. And then there's Godzilla...the 2,800 rear-wheel torque inline 6-cylinder Nissan Skyline. It's kinda funny, all these American manufacturer's think they are badass with their 400HP v8's, when Nissan is making engines half the size that are pushing over 2X the power...makes you wonder. |
