I get the feeling that you don't know what you are getting into. If you are going to get a "high end" gun, start with the Ion. It is the most idiot-proof of the guns you mentioned. |

No, I really do know about all of these guns and that they need to be lubed after each use, can/shood only run on compressed air, need an electric hopper to keep up, need to clean eyes, shood fine tune the gun such as the regulator and then trigger, and more....i know how to do this stuff, really, i know alot about paintball, i have a jersey and pants and everything, and know alot and play alot, so what is the best gun out of the ones i metioned, Shockers, ions, bob longs, PM6's?

If you know all about them, why cant you decide? I would honestly look into a used DM5. They go for a good price used and are all of the things you listed.

Good observation. I agree. Neither? I don't like the design of either gun. Edited by hybrid-sniper - 31 July 2006 at 5:46pm |

Well, it seems to me that if you 'knew all about the guns' then you'd have realized that each is a good marker/brand that works well for thousands of players, and it's really all a matter of how much you personally like the trigger frame and available triggers on a particular marker. There is no 'best gun', there is only what you prefer over what someone else prefers. Also, they are not 'Bob Longs', Bob Long is a player-turned-businessman/coach who created the Intimidator line of markers, which is what you're referring to Short version - PERSONAL PREFERENCE |

but they both have a spool-valve, so they're pretty identical... ...get a promaster before you get a $1000 marker... $1000+ markers arn't like your tippy... they can break if you unscrew something wrong... and you have to send it to the factory for a couple months. welcome back, ferarri. |

^^thats what i was thinking, id say get a promaster. They are amazing gun, and they are $370 new, and you can up them with new regs, valves, trigger, and the usual. They are amazing guns, personally, i dont like the shocker frame. for around $460 you can get a Bob Long Defiant2- dont know much about them $410- Nerve- pretty much upped to the max out of the box $370-Promaster- upgrades are coming out more and more Edited by MeanMan - 01 August 2006 at 5:39pm |
