So as you guys saw in the other thread, new crap came out from apple today. Must say I'm a little surprised no-one has mentioned this:

Don't get me involved in that computer crap. I don't know anything about it. I don't care anything about it.

Thats pretty sweet, good to see someone pushing the envelope with laptops.
3 pounds and under an inch thick is win, and I'm not a mac fanboy. I wouldn't pay the 3000 price tag though. |

As would any laptop. It's an electronic, if you act like a gorilla with that or a huge laptop, and knock it off a table, chances are both will break. |

the 3000 price tag is just for the one with the SSD. for 1700 you can get the 80gb HD model

But then you've still put out a ton of money for something with little hard drive space. Basically, you are paying a lot of money for something that is just prettier. |

80gb is small? you're not buying a hard drive, you're buying a computer.

Apple has done a wonderful job creating tiny products without sacrificing durability and I'm sure the Air will be no different. |

Exactly, it is a sub notbook, it isn't supposed to be some hard core machine, it is supposed to be used for surfing the internet. Also lots of laptops come with an 80gig hard drive, so any argument about it being a small hard drive IMO is pointless. |

If only there was some sort of invention where you could keep the hard drive on the outside. Externally storing it or something. |

Ahh but then you are spending even more money to get rid of all that portability and low weight that you paid all that extra money for in the first place... And yes, 80 gigs is small. |
