Topic: co2 or HPA tank?Posted: 27 June 2004 at 1:06pm |
|
well im trying to decide. wiether or not i should just stick with co2 or get a hpa tank? currenty i have a 12oz and a 20 oz, and im thinking of getting the gta X-chamber kit to make more constant shots. but instead i could buy a hpa tank, but for one, hpa is expensive, and 2 i read on the tippmann site that hpa has very little advantage over co2 unless you have the low pressure kit which is another 120 bucks. so should i just stick with co2 and buy a x-chamber which is only about 40-50 bucks or get hpa which is about 150-200 for a decent tank plus i would have to get the low pressure kit to really make a difference over co2 which is another 120 bucks, so either i spend 50 bucks or almost 350 bucks? |

ok when Tippmann said it makes no diffrence between c02 and HPA they just want you to fall prey to there Selling Sceem... THE Huge advantage Hpa has over c02 is that it wont Freeze your gun. The Expansion Chamber from GTA SUX!!! it only a 2 stage. if your ganna stay with c02 I suggest these 2 Critical upgrades for it.
Thats a bit cheaper then switching to HPA but in the end you'll see that HPA is the way to go... And besides if you buy the tank now you can always save your money and buy Comp-Air to make your Custom super Sexy or you can buy a really cheap tank thats like 78$ and buy the Comp-Air kit. and put Macroline on, which should be around 200$ and later on you can buy a bigger HPA tank and keep your 47ci tank as a spare. and also, hpa doesnt get as many shots per tank compared to my 20oz tank. a 68/3000 tank will get about 660 shots. heck my 12 oz gets that much, i think im gonna stay with c02, and buy a x-chamber, but i dont know what to get, and what i will need for it.

uhh... 68/4500 gets around 1020 shots, that heck of alot more then a 12oz co2... Rule of thumb with HPA is get the Ci*15 Exapmple: 47 x 15 = 705 Shotd So with a 68ci tank it should get around 1020 and 88ci should be around 1320 So you See HPA Gets almost 25% more shots. |

um, yea buy mt 20 oz gets about 1000 anyway. like i said i kinds decided im sticking with co2, way cheaper, and if i get a x-chamber it iwll make it more consistant, maybe not like hpa. but i only play with my friends and maybe somtimes i go to a field, im no pro tournamet guy i dont need hpa.
and with that X-chamber why would i need 2 90 degree fittings? one for the chamber, whats the other one for? my asa isnt a 90 degree fitting the hose goes straight out. |

another idea might have be to buy a palmer stabilizer now to help with your C02 consistency problems until you get enough cash to buy your hpa, then you could switch over and keep using the stabilizer if you haven't already made your decision.

D-Ballz... I don't know where you hear about the negativity in the macroline...Me and other guys have repeatedly have "confirmed' the durability of it and you keep on insisting that it isn't. I have told you this on a different thread and still you don't believe me. I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THIS! 2 fittings and a macroline is about the same price as for 2 nickel plated fittings and a steel braided hose, if not cheaper. If you are so insistent on buying the steel braided hose, just wait until you get your other parts then measure the distance between the asa and your x chamber then purchase your steel braided hose then. Eventually you are either going to buy a drop forward and PROBABLY need a different length again.

ok first of all, i get just as many shots out of my 20oz then i would with a 68/4500 tank, so why spend 200 bucks just for a consistant upgrade, when i can get a x-chamber for 50 bucks and fix that. like i said im not a pro player, actually i have never even been to a paintball field, i just play with friends, and i just want a cheap way to fix volocity, and that was is with an x-chamber, I DONT WANT HPA!!!!!!! and i never will. unless im a pro paintball guy. anyway.... so u mean no one in here knows what lenght of steel hose i will need with x-core |
