The ski jump thread, and a snowboard magazine I have made me think of this. I could be way, way off on this, but I think this is a more canadian thing...so...

No clue.  Though I had an idea to build something like that many many years ago, and did.  I didn't know someone already made them though.

Let's see...

The fins on the bottom are for stability,

that black thing on top is the hyperdrive.

Clearly it's an inter-galactic spacecraft of some sort.

No idea what they're called but I've seen them around in stores and at the local sledding hill.
