So today I wore this shirt my uncle got me (veteran).  On the front it said "7.62 design" and on the back it said "671 Grains of Diplomacy" and it had a military sniper laying in a ghillie on the back.  So I walk out of first period today, and an administrator sees it.  I am forced to put another shirt on (luckily I had one with me).  Supposedly it was a "violent" shirt, even though it is depicting something from teh military.  So what pisses me off even more is I see the same administrator later in teh day carrying on a normal conversation with a black kid later that day.  His shirt had a picture of an MP5K on it and it said "Welcome to the Hood".  She didn't even mention it.  It just really pissed me off, had to vent.

I'm not sure how to decide who's stupid, you for freaking out about a simple request, or the woman for not noticing both.

Trust me, I didn't freak out.  I'm not one to protest authority over such small things.  I was just irritated at teh racism.

No, I was listening.  It was just a normal conversation that anybody would have.  Even if she was and I missed it, she didn't do anything about it.

yes, it could be racism. but maybe she thought his shirt was ok (for whatever reason), maybe she thinks he is hot, maybe she just doesn't like you. maybe it's a political thing.

or, most likely, she just slipped - consistently enforcing rules is really hard.

teachers only say it to kids they know that will turn the shirt inside out or put on a different one...the other kid probably would have told the teather to go <flip off> if she asked him to remove his shirt...it's really not fair

I don't really think it was.  But hey if it was the other way around, that kid would have said it was racism, so why can't I?

The shirt is really lame. Wanna-be ZOMG ARMY SEAL COMMANDOS FTW wear shirts like that.

Its a shirt with a guy with a gun on it. It shouldnt be worn at school. End of story.
