Manual. Unless my right hand is occupied in various situations, then automatic.

Automatic is easier to use, so it gets my vote.

It depends, if you want a sports car, manual is the way to go. If you are driving a truck and no hauling anything, manual may be the way to go if you are experienced with a manual transmition. It dpends on the aplication really.
The only thing about manual that is difficult, is learning how to feather the clutch. Edited by DBibeau855 |

If i had like an Escalade an auto. However the stang in your pic you must have manual. Reason, faster, better control, faster... Oh and why pay an extra $1,500 for an auto. Put that cash to upgrade the stereo.

For practical purposes, I prefer automatic. Manual for trucks(hauling stuff) and sports cars. You should learn how to drive in a manual, IMO.

Yeah, if you can drive a manual, you can drive anything.

Manuals aren't hard to work. It takes a tad getting used to, but it isn't rocket science. Everyone should learn how to drive one. But I do agree that it depends on whether to go auto/manual.

I agree. What if you're in a possible position where you have to drive a manual car? Something like your friend gets his finger cut off and you have to drive him to the hospital, but you only have his car. Something like that, you need to know how, for safety. |
