Scatter rounds

I got bored the other day and so my friend and I stuffed a cotton ball down the barrel of his gun, then put a bunch of .40 cal. paintballs down and packed in another cotton ball, with a normal paintball loaded behind the first cotton ball. (I'm not sure why but we thought we should have a normal paintball in their). It was pretty cool, we coverd an area of like 3 or 4 feet from about 40 feet away. Now we want to make ready use rounds to load in our gun and shoot. We've already made a few with a construction paper casing. Didn't work as good as the first attempt. Any one got a suggestion that might work better??????

Something kind of like a shotgun shell, eh? Hmm.... Sounds fun. Might not be the most practical thing out there like as said above, but still, might have some potential.

well the best thing i can think of is a breach loaded system much like the smg60  that will get rid of any bolt problems.  than you just load up a clip that has prelaoded rounds.  however this means the g whole gun will be warped an therefore will only be good for those sort of shots.  however since there is no need for a long barrel as you want a wider shot radius. so you can make ashort barreled gun with 12 grams as the power as you only need a few shots.  so it will be more of a side arm

Get one of those, fill it with .40 cal paintballs.

Take paintball marker (loaded, gased, cocked)
Put Safety on
Take the 10RD paintball tube, and pour contents down the barrel
put a cotton ball in the barrel over that, and fire.  (With the safety still on!)

That would be what I'd recomend.  Anything the size of a paintball barrel (.68") is wayyyy too small for you to fit a sabot in.  If you want to try and make a sabot of Styrofoam cups and stuff, you'd need to build an air cannon...  PM me if you need some advice where to get parts for the air cannon.

well if its like a shotgun u mite as well use 6mm paintballs and just poor paintballs in the barrel

 

ur tryin to make like a muzzleloader paintball gun cuz u have to pack in all the stuff.  You could take a plastic container and melt it and form it into a shell thing.

the bad thing is i think they cost to much 1000 6mm paintballs are like 15 bucks thats a guess from what ive seen

I can get 1000 for about $8.00 at the army surplus where I live

o sure dalton you dont know what they cost because u hate veryting that u dont have until u get it so how would u know what they cost
