They make a special clay for that LJ, I forget what it's called. Do you have access to a high temp oven?

Yes, I'm gonna make it. Like I mentioned before, there's no point to making it yet without a way to test it. I pretty much have to wait for the WAS board to come out. edit Edited by LordJovian |

What do you mean feeding tube? The breech is the same size- all he really had to do was attach it onto the gun and find something to act as the metal spike. The air supply would go right into the R/T opening on a 98C. |

Ok....either im really dumb and missed someting or im right about this. how did you get an A-5 cyclone on the 98c? The A-5 cyclone requires a WAY bigger feeding tube than any ive ever seen on a 98c

The QEV was mentioned earlier, but I don't think I'd want to add that kind of real estate to the cyclone piston. More knobs and whatnot for stuff to hang on. When I build the prototype I might try out both ideas. I'd imagine though it may be difficult to thread the piston without screwing the QEV in the path of the piston. Plus I have no way to thread anything I drill, unless I take it to a guy I know. I plan to test out the porting first, and if the results aren't desirable I'll give the QEV a go. I was wondering when you'd get around to checking this out Enos. |

The reason the cyclone runs slow is the spring return ram, and the fact that the system advances when the ram retracts.
When you start ripping, the cyclone cylinder gets filled with air too fast to deal with. It cant return and advance the star, so it hangs. Just stick a QEV on it. |

As far as I know about the WAS board- it's pretty much similar to all the other ones. I belive you can write programs for it, add eyes, change the ROF etc. The only thing I don't think it will support would be an LCD screen. I haven't had a chance to mess with the 98C cyclone at all. Is there a chance you didn't lube the Cyclone when you put it on? I hear many folks saying crap about not putting oil in the Cyclone, but I've had no problem with it. Edited by LordJovian |

Cyclone + 98 = garbage I hated it. I fired it with RT and it went slower than it would have on a A-5 this may be due to some technical error on my part but it felt bulky and dumb. I recommend an egg instead of it. It costs just under $60. If you must have the Cyclone then just have someone else do it for you or buy it. Also, I'm going to hook the cyclone ack up to the 98 and try this to see if it works, I'll let you know. |

Is there, by chance, a preliminary spec sheet or doc on the Wicked Air Sportz (WAS) board?

Huh... not sure exactly how to do that... a spring loaded plate above the feeding area?

Good luck I hope it works! Maybe a Q-loaderish hopper tube to feed the cyclone 2.0 and keep the balls in it?

If you raised the cyclone feeder, so you have contact on blade, ball, then feed ramp to guide the ball into chamber. The blade could not crush a ball because the ball would slip under it and down against the feed ramp (via contour), next ball could even help push it. Like I said, only a half baked idea. My concern about your flexible blades is that they may end up to flimsy and need replacing, or skip balls in high RPM. |
