I will be disappointed if you didn't emit a groan of disgust upon figuring it out.

Actually, I am used to it. My father in law has you wayyy beat on corny one liners. He's a minister, so his jokes have to corny and clean.

How are sniper posts, resurrecting old posts and worm farming all similar?

They all "breed debate."

My thanks to Robo for giving me the excuse to post the worst pun I have come up with to date.

oh oh i did that TODAY! so it was about 9 in the morn when i was told i need to clean off the staining barrel...this was after i had done a bit of staining so i was like "ok" and went out to start spraying, well my hand had sticky stainer on it and i wanted to get it off cuz it was annoying me. Well seeing that im NOT a morning person WHATSOEVER (i like to wake up at 10) i wasnt thinking straight and was like..."oh powerwasher, i'll clean my hand off. So i pressed the leaver and stuck barely a finger in when i realized...wow that really hurts! and so now i have a nice big cut on my middle finger that hurts real bad

There are certain ideas that will get you flamed and ridiculed.

These topics are:
Paintball Flame-throwers or paint-throwers
etc...

In other words you should have not made a new post at all, or bumped a 3 year old post on the subject. The subject of paint throwers is not a welcome one on this forum. Period.

For future reference, if you have searched and there is a thread on the topic that is more than a month or two old do not bump it. Mention that you searched, and reference the other topic.

I swear if I see another idiot bump a thread this old I am going to find a way to stab him in the throat through TCP/IP.

So rather I post something up to a new thread to clog the system that was already discussed in an older thread?  I happened across it in a google search for something else, had something to add, and even had something to share that WASN'T previously covered in the post...I mean I even mentioned I realized I was bringing up something pretty dead...Jeeze you guys are touchie over here...

Yes, I know bringing something up from the dead but since no one mentioned it...

...a fire extinguisher.

A couple of guys were behind that black netting you see there firing down on our area.  We couldn't hit them with a marker and couldn't get in position with a LAW to take it out...but the paintthrower worked just fine.

BTW, that's one of the extinguishers you can fill up with water and then pressurize with an air compressor.  We had a portable air tank to refill it when necessary.  We were going to make a backpack harness for it but never got around to it. Keep in mind too that real flame throwers are NOT long range weapons.  Look at video from WWII and you'll see why those guys had such a high mortality rate.

here is an idea. kind of goes with the paint thrower idea. Build yourself a small catapult or trebuchet. in the sling put between 25 and like 100 paintballs. then fire. it goes over tree and most open topped barriers. only works in rec ball or woodsball. if done properly it can hit like 15 people if they are grouped kind of close together. and it does work. because it uses a sling you don't break very many paintballs when firing and you can cover a lot of ground with paint.

wow, I'm surprised that my thread went on for so long.
dang, that project was a failure...I agree that it is a cheap tool to use, but
it was pretty cool to see for the first 30 seconds or so before it died.
