LOL!

No, the point is YOU said BT and Tippmann are the SAME THING, and I never said BT was a horrible company, i said they stole Tippmann ideas... what's wrong with me having an Apex?  It wouldn't matter if they were the worst company in the world, they're the only ones with a patent and the only place the get it...

Oh, and then you said "they weren't sued", probably after not reading the joint press release.

Man i see this argument everywhere first of BT isnt a knock of company, Ben holds the patents on several key Tippmann products when the Tippmann family sold out he left in disgust and opened BT.

the new company (Summit) brought in their own CEO and managers but retained some Tippmanns on the board, their markers will be made abroard as of this year, they did try to sue Ben and hes still in biz.

BT is made in the states and is of a very high quality the BT16 isnt as good as the BT4 which uses A5 barrels and 98c internals, the marker itself is a better gun out of the box and cheaper and if your into milsim its much easier to achieve a look than the 98c, the only Tippmann up it at present cant use is the Cyclone due to the feedneck diference.

The marker is very well made and growing in popularity, why spend a fortune milsimming a 98c or A5 when the BT range already comes with ther furniture at a way cheaper price.

 Let the flamming commence

I agree man you can sort of think. That BT is like the old Tippmann considering its made here in the states. While the Tippmanns now are foreign made. I say get a BT-4 Assault they are as durable as a Tippmann and it is incredibly accurate.

Id say BT is the new Tippmann American made and very rugged, they didnt sell out.

I somtimes get grief on fields but only before a game then ppl want to know more, i still own my 4 year old 98c its all original and its been thru hell, but its American made and i will never sell it.

My only hope is that Tippmann doesnt turn into Brass Eagle

Ummm... The patents are held by Tippmann Sports LLC.

Ben Tippmann himself does not own the patents, therefor tippmann would have a right to take legal action if he were to reproduce the same patented materials.

*ALL TIPPMANN STUFF IS MADE IN THE UNITED STATES!!!*

They have 2 production facilities, both in the states.

I don't see why that matters anyways...  everything else anyone buys isn't :P

Thank god some of you guys know what's going on. The first half of this thread was rediculous. Ben Tippmann did work at Tippmann. When steps were being taken by Tippmann to sell out to a huge conglomerate company that only cares about profits, Ben Tippmann was the ONLY member of the Tippmann family with the integrity to stand up and say NO! we do not need to sell the company. He faught the sale of Tippmann but was out voted by the other members of the family. He left to start BT Paintball Designs. Ben Tippmann did not initiate the lawsuits between Tippmann and BT Paintball Designs, Tippmann did. Since Ben Tippmann designed the Tippmann markers saying that the BT markers are Tippmann knock-offs is silly. The BT line of markers is the same if not better quality than Tippmann. Some members of this forum will make up stories to try to convince you otherwise. Don't believe it. I'm a Tippmann fanatic!  I love Tippmann, but that's no reason to badmouth BT markers. BT markers are very nice with innovative features. If you like Tippmanns you'll like BT markers just as much. TRUTH-SPREAD IT!!!!!!!!!!

I've never seen anyone own the woods because of what marker they use.
