My Topic (Warning: Religion Thread)

I am a Deist, which means I believe in a Creator that I can worship. I can worship It by saying thanks for the things I have and by being good and doing good things for other people.

My question to you all is this: why do people fight for religious supremacy when we all can believe in the same thing?

That thing is Deism. With Deism, those who believe in it are never wrong. You can't offend people of other religions because you believe in the same God as they do. You don't worry about making it into heaven, because the life God has given you is like a heaven anyway.

Think about what has been given to you. God could have chosen to have created no life at all. The fact that you are alive today should be enough to be thankful for. Even if you are handicapped or cannot do the same things a perfect person can do, you still can enjoy this life.

And if there is an afterlife that God has created for us, for after we die, then that's super. But there's no way of telling. And that's not an important thing to spend time thinking about anyway, because it hasn't been formally promised to you. It's best to assume that the life you have now is the only life you have. You should not seek a reward for doing good deeds, the good deeds in themselves are a reward for both you and those that you have served. And the Creator looks on those good deeds and It appreciates what It has created.

You have the choice to be good or bad. But it's not like God will think any less of you if you do bad things. You are only acting natural. God would rather see super-natural people, though. People who seek progress are the ones that God watches most.

With Deism, you do not have to forsake science. God is a scientific Creator, a Creator that has designed the entire universe using scientific order.

And with Deism, there are no tattered edges. You know that Something had to have created everything you see around you. It is the same thing as Atheism, except you just know that there had to have been something supernatural that created everything.

P.S.
About me trying to convert people to Deism-my warning was that this thread was going to be about religion. I think that Deism is a nice path to choose for those that consider Atheism just because organized religions have been too pushy to them.

I suppose Deism is the same as Agnosticism, with less thinking involved.

And how exactly does this fit in with an agnostic?

Well it doesnt and religious contention still would exsist so generalizing everyone to deism would be a waste of time.

Are you trying to convert people on this thread?

Edit: I am an athiest. I dont really mind others religions because its all up the individual. The only thing I hate is when people try to force thier religion on somewon else.

that wouldnt happen because God does exist.

you must be a terrible Deist if you dont know your OWN religion... Deist believe in a NON-MEDLING God...which contradicts many religious beliefs...which means all religions could not view your own belief

Note that I said "A god", not the Christian god.  Not all religions beleive in hell.
