Windows Vista

It'll just be "meh".  It's just putting a new face on Windows with a few upgrades.

Its just windows, who cares?

All of the "revolutionary" features are just stolen from Mac OSX anyway. And it has TCPA, http://www.againsttcpa.com/what-is-tcpa.html

All those features in that article are totally ho-hum anyway. ZOMG NEW SOUND! Who cares?

New driver model my ass, they just want you to chuck $200 on XP 2.

And their new security thing will be a huge pain. Theyre trying to do *NIX style permissions and accounts, but its microsoft so of course theyll bork it up. Besides, the only reason theyre doing all this new security stuff is for TCPA (Or whatever the christ theyre calling it nowdays)

64bit OS. Giggidygiggidygoo!

I want my 64bit processor to bust out some 64bit whoopass, but I can't on XP Home.

Well, I don't really care what was stolen from whom but the tcpa thing is crap....

So what is actually new, other than to windows?

The video card requirements just to run to OS are pretty steep.

There were some promising ideas about Vista in a Microsoft propaganda report I read last summer.

i hope its really good...because im holding off on buying a new comp until vista comes out...
