So - who is going to see this?  Who is going to NOT see this?

Should they have made the movie, or not?  Does it matter?

Curious about thoughts.

Apparently it is quite well made, if that matters - not a MOTW at all.

I dont think that I will go see it. Just because I hate to pay $9.00 for a movie ticket. It really doesnt matter to me whether or not they made it into a movie. However, I'm sure that some people are going to have problems with it.

I'm going this weekend. My wife won't go, and my friend Brandon won't go, but Brandon's fiance might, so we'll probably go. It's the same situation with roller coasters. My wife and my friend won't ride, by his fiance will.

It still gives me chills to see the preview and to read about it, but I'm drawn to see it.

The guy playing the air traffic controller in the movie is really the air traffic controller from that day, the one who shut down the sky. He had come back from retirement to do the job, and it was his first day back. He said that it was good it was him to make that call and not somebody who had a career to worry about. He didn't care about the repercussions if he was wrong.

Before they made it they asked all the families of the victims for permision, and the director who did it did Bloody Sunday which is another touchy topic for some. I trust Greengrass to make it tasteful and so far according to reviewers it is tasteful and not overdramatic like Oliver Stone's World Trade Center will be. I for one will see it if I have the time. If you feel its too soon and don't want to sit through it, then don't, it's as simple as that.

I have the same feelings, but different conclusion.  I won't be anywhere near this movie for a long time.

I am neutral on the existence of the movie, although I am very happy they did it properly (as Dave pointed out), with good people.

I am very curious how this one does at the box office.

i'm not particularly planning to go see it, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. as far as i know, it basically shows the passangers who were able to realize the truth and act on it. i respect those who chose to re-take the plane and not sit back and wish for a smooth landing. i don't blame the others for being afraid/hopeful, but i feel proud for those who stepped up.

Now there is a movie worth seeing.  Unsure whether to wait for video or not, though.

NOT going to see it... I just dont consider them the national hero's many people claim them to be.

If they amde a movie on a fire fighter that CHOSE to run into one of the WTC towers... then by all means, make a movie on him and I'll watch it...

THEY are the real hero's... the ones that CHOSE to go in.. Cops, firefighters, Paramedics.

NOT the ones that just reacted to a circumstance.

I'm going to not see flight 93 however. Just seems like it's guaranteed to be a load of crap full of speculation.

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

As someone said, as long as it is not overly dramatic I would not mind watching it.

As far as too soon. No it is not. It has been 5 years. Too soon for families maybe( a HUGE maybe), but not for people that were nowhere near it.

I almost want to say it is too late.

Que pasa?
