^says the only guy on here who will tell you the us5 is better then an a-5^

yea from what i've heard there not bad, but if you plan on customizing and upgrading, get an a-5, otherwise, go for it.

for what they are, they arn't bad.  basically an a-5, with a different grip and no cyclone system.  however, i don't like a-5's because you can't centerfeed them easily...  but that's just because i'm a speedball guy.  i'd rather have a cyclone for the woods.

The US5 is okay...... Ive herd of some serious reliability issues.

They're not as good as carl says.

It shoots paint, it works. Its just not nearly as indestructable, reliable and customizeable as the REAL A5.

/\

but youve never used one

most reliablilty issues are created out of nowhere by people who just hate them. the us-5 is 95% as customisable as the a5. and is even more customisible if you count the hopper.

its as reliable as the a5 im not gona say more but i will say =

in my opinion they are better than a5s partly cause i hate cyclones, love egrips and they are cheaper.

the us5 is $280 cdn the a5 is 315cdn

a a5 egrip is $150

a cyclone is $100

you save approximatly $70 cdn with the us-5, enough for a decent barrel.

Ok, A-5 E-Grip Package which comes with the cyclone is $309 U.S. the US-5 is $180.....It all depends really, personally I would rather have the A-5 then a knock-off model. With the A-5 you do get the Cyclone, which is an amazing hopper and will NEVER fail you if you install Vortex Axels\Ratchets. If you're on a budget, sure, go with the US-5 as carl said, if not, go with the A-5 (I am inlove with it)

um   no..

at least for me the us-5 was a choice i could have either had the a5 or the us-5. had nothing to do with money.

explain how it's a knock off.  and i just dont like the cyclone.

I have reservations about the cyclone myself.  IMO air efficiency is NOT Tippmann's  strong-point.  Now you're asking the gun to divy air to the hopper.

I'm justifying numbers to myself like this.  By the time I get done modding an a-5 to get it where I want I could have 2 ION's.

Does the a5 rock? yup............

okay, so if the cyclone isn't equipped on an a-5 or 98, where's the blowback gas going to go? it dissipates throughout the gun, just like any open bolt blow-back gun. i saw no loss in velocity from before i added the cyclone to after. the cyclone or r/t just uses gas that is already there.

the only way you could argue that the r/t causes inefficiency is in the case of CO2, because, under a high ROF, liquid CO2 is shot through the gun instead of gas.

oh, and the US-5 doesn't come with a loader at all

i wasent talking about gas usage i was talking generally.

us-5 comes with a gravity hopper.but it does come with egrip

see even if you were to buy a cyclone for it you would still be $70 ahead of an a5 with an egrip upgrade

doesn't the cyclone get air directly from the valve?

^ No.... after the valve has been opened and the gun fires, it loads a ball again that's why at the very start if you don't manually PUMP your Cyclone, for the first two or three shots, it won't fire a ball. And are you serious about "How is the US-5 a Knockoff?

Ok...US-5 came out AFTER the A-5, as we all know, the A-5 has the look of a MP5 right? US-5 has the exact same look yet came out after... if you don't call that a knock-off...well then ok, you're just too proud of an owner to admit it.

Now, given, the A-5 is a knock-off of the MP5.. however the MP5 isn't a paintball gun, the A-5 and US-5 is....see where I'm going with this? If the A-5 was at the time, the first pb gun with the mp5 body look... and then the us-5 has the exact same body look.. yes, that would make the second-coming (US-5) a knockoff.

Also, US-5 does not come with an E-Grip it's classified as PMI's "E-Force" (I think that's what they call it) E-Grip, E-Force, E-Frame... so many different names from different makers.

Personally, the Cyclone is a god-send to me, reliable, fast, and sturdy (I have done Vortex and QEV note that)

Yes, the Cyclone and R\T use "Blowback air" however I noticed that after I made my R\T a Super R\T, I had to increase the Drive-Springs strength to get it to work (sweet-soot), that means more air-usage if you make the Drive-Spring harder more air is being used to cycle the gun..... ok you guys debate this, I'm typing way to much tonight and already have HW just atleast analyze what I just said.

firts thing though technically and legally not it is kinda a copy. but knockoff implies that it's worse than the origional. in my opinion it's better maybe if you shout it you would aggree, maybe not.

second how many mp5 guns have you seen? theres at least 10 you can buy plus you can millsim your own.

they call it the aec advanced electronic clip. it's a good idea cause if you run out of batteries in game, you can pop 2 pins out, and put in the non-electronic clip that comes with it. besides the upgradeablilty, the aec is so much better.

i just dont like the cyclone no need to argue that, just dont. it's an ugly beast, though i respect the idea.

and i am asking that anybody who has never shot it shuts up about quality/performance.

Uh.. I've seen very few MP5 Body guns for Paintball...All I've really seen is the A-5 and US-5... and a "Knock-Off" is basically one idea stolen from another, and reproduced with cheaper materials...I'd still say that the US-5 does not have as "high-grade" of parts as the A-5, I could be wrong though I have not done a complete comparison. And I don't care about "MAKING YOUR OWN MP5" I'm talking about Paintball Manufactors, making Paintball guns with the Mp5 Style Body, Tippmann (correct me if I'm wrong) was the first to do it, NOT PMI, Pmi was busy with the Piranhas from day one (I do like Piranha's though) Anyway, each to their own, if you like the US-5 fine, If you like the A-5, fine. This will always be a major argument because orignal A-5 owners respect the design, and the PMI comes along and steals almost the complete design (body wise) actually I wouldn't say steal... nor would I say improve... uh.. I guess......man I don't know how to put it actually.
