well, i know few ppl on here who have a great taste in music, so i figure it would be a nice place to get to know some new music.

Some music i really like is

Nine Inch Nails, there popular but its suprizing how many people dont know about them

another good one is The Faint, again there actully pretty popular in certain areas, but they are wicked band

What are some good ones?

ok, sure

Im not a big fan of "skate bands" the older ones like off spring are cool, but newer bands are to emo for me.

i have only heard of one rammstein song

The only "emo" music you know of is probably Hawthorne Heights and Fall Out Boy, both of which are horrendous bands and NOT emo even though they are labeled that because of the modern day "emo" stereotype.

You've probably never even heard real emo music.
I think Benjichang has gotten in this argument with some people before, so he knows what I'm talking about.

I'm not talking about emo as it is now...
I'm talking about emo music when it first began, when there was no emo image... a prime example for a great early emo band is Sunny Day Real Estate.

edit: and carbine, good call on Scary Kids Scaring Kids... they are a good  band.
