Don't forget the 20" barrel and the guillie suit. Can't snipe people without a good guillie. |

So anyone with a scope and stock is a sniper? That's assuming and insulting. That's like me saying if YOU don't have one, you must be poor and stupid. I use 'em on my gun and SNIPERS DON'T EXIST IN PAINTBALL. And please, don't come at me telling me there are snipers. I'll go with Marksmen, that I'll buy, but sniper? Bye-bye. Pal, I zero mine to sight in targets at 40-60ft, the closest I can zero to with this sight. Irons are whack, but red-dot's do the job nicely plus I can sight while on the move with it. I use a stock 'cause it's what I know. I carried an M-16 for the good 'ole U.S.A. for 9 years as an Infantryman and those itty-bitty shiny guns? I just wanna smash those fancy markers. Don't toss me into that sniper group. Have a nice day.

Nice rant...the sniper comments were sarcastic though... Anyway, to the OP lose the capslock, it annoys the daylights out of people and then no one answers your post. To begin with, lose the flatline. It COSTS accuracy to use the thing. It adds a little extra range but by the time it gets that far it is much less likely to break. Sell it and get a good barrel. I prefer the Freak by Smart Parts, but you can get something more economical too. A good paint-bore match is what you need for better accuaracy. Some form of reg. or x-chamber would likely be a good idea. This will keep your gun working when rapidly firing if your using CO2. Or you could just get an HPA tank and not have to worry about freeze-ups. Other then that the A5 is already a very good gun. It has a build-in hopper system that IMO is better then any agitated hopper you could buy. If you find your finger getting tired too fast you might want to look into a double-trigger. |

it depends on the way you want to go. If you want to go milsim there are alot of options to choose from and really its your choice. As far as performance goes I like the egrip. Its not necessary but it is fun to use. Barrel wise the flatline can be good if you prefer distance. It is pretty accurate at normal distances but can be very easily effected by wind. My prefference is the J&J kit. I have used both and the J&J is a lil more reliable. you dont necessarily need a kit but it allows you to match up to any paint you use. The feeder is great stock but if you want to upgrade the ratchet since there seems to be problems with some people's (altho mine never broke after probably 100,000 paintballs had gone through it but I changed it just to be safe) the JCS JetClick is great and it can be found for 25 including shipping on ebay. |

I know, I know. I lost it a bit. I went to a scenario on Sunday and heard that word way too much. if one more person calls my gun a $&%*ing Sniper Rifle, I'm breaking their teeth out.

So the difference being what...snipers kill people? I couldn't care less but I do like arguing semantics.
I shot maybe 150 paintballs in 2 straight hours of scenario (typical) that includes 10 eliminations and effective cover firing. Less shots to take out a target is better so accuracy is important. Barrels longer than 12-14" may take to long to aim but can make a 1.5' grouping in less than ideal conditions to 0.5' and the stock will help stabilize your shot and offset [read balance] the weight of your marker. This applies to all firearms, bows(stabilizers) and markers. Due to the relative power of a paintball marker you can get by without a scope if you practice with it lots and know your marker. Other than that, a better hopper that is more likely to deflect shots and give a smaller profile. And a good consistent gas supply whether you like air, nitro or co2 is up to you, though the two former are more stable/consistent. Oh, and if you're billed as a medic...don't get in the heavy front line work or stand in the open or lead "assaults". lmao. |

Oh while you're at it...add some branches and leaves to your bucket...to go whith your ghillie, camo and sniper rifle! Everyone loves a walking shrub! Especially the hunters and millitary people who might be playing.

Its not semantics... A sniper uses superior range and accuracy to eliminate his targets from beyond the effective range of return fire. This cannot be done in paintball. It is not a viable tactic. That is why there are no snipers in paintball. |
