For the same reason you were given a strike back in March 2007  for doing the exact same thing.

Just because you make your own "pretend filter" mask does not change the fact that you used (or at least got the point across) as to which forum banned word you were trying to use.

So, basically, even though there's a filter in the first place to prevent us from seeing any foul word, even if someone writes a bad word, then edits it out, and even if they go outside the lines a little, they get boned by the long prosthetic "member" of the tippmann forum law?

i want to see tallens original post. anybody know where it is?

and i was trying to find the place where he went off on dune and that was also too hard to find.

But it's not like this rule is so horribly difficult to understand.  We don't allow filter-dodging.  If "porn" were prohibited, then typing "pr0n" instead does not make it okay, since we still know exactly what you meant.

It is a rule, not a spell-checker.  Creative spelling or symbol substitution that leaves it clear what you meant to say does not change the violation of the rule.

People need to get this. I used to argue with some of that stuff. But I really don't care anymore. Are most of the rules here stupid ? Yes. Especially the whole can't post anything because of 13 year olds or whatever.

Can we do anything about it ? Absolutely not. So just shut up and deal with it because there is no way in hell we can do anything to change it.

I guess I'm still missing something. I made one sarcastic comment and then didn't flame back, similiar to what everyone else makes and it makes me a "toolbag." For that matter, I'm sure even the mods can agree that Tallen's responses were not as bad as others making them out to be. Although still against forum rules, there has been much worse from this forum, not worthy of three threads. Seems like small weight compared to the strikes many of these forum commentators received.

I'll level with you, what you did was looking for trouble.  You know it, and Tallen's shots back were wrong because he gave in (like we all want them to when we say something like that) and then he lost all tact.
