Hey I'm pretty sure this is a 1999 but I got with the
intent to convert it to pump, but I'm having second
thoughts about the matter... It would help if i could
get it to shoot. When I air'd it up it would discharge
but wouldn't recock and air would pour out the barrel.
Tell me if you think I'm right or wrong but could this
because my tank was almost empty?

PC080030

PC080032

Okay for the update, I just took off the front block and put on my pump kit. Tongue

first impressions: I'm glad I put the pump on it. I love the feel and pump action sound of it cocking and firing. I'm too low on air to really see how it shoots, but I'm confident it will be awesome.

Your first cocker? Welcome to the club! I think you should follow through with the pump plans. Nothing beats it.

Cock it before you air it up. your IVG is in too far. Also make sure your lug is in just far enough.

i do, but as soon as i fire it doesn't recock and air
pours out from the barrel. What is my IVG and lug? and
yes it's my first cocker
i was thinking about getting a WWA pump kit any opinions
on it or others?

Find a timing manual and follow it.

Also that doesn't look pre2k to me, but I am probably wrong.
Que pasa?

eh, from what iv been told the WWA kit has a short arm on it. the CCM kit had a long enough rod and was set up so you dident have to re-time it.

ya, thats a pre 2k, the front/back block would be rounded it it was 2k+.

theres a few different things that could be the problem.

turn up the pressure a little on the front LPR, on your reg that is clockwise on the rock nob

IVG= internal velocity gauge? i forgot... its the the brass/nickel thing you seen when you look into the lower tube with an allen key hole in it that you adjust the velocity with, back it should only be no more than halfway in (half way is when you can see it through the bevertail screw hole)

lug... the thing that sticks out from the Hammer/Striker to catch the trigger sear. it should only be in just enough to catch the sear. there should be a hole in the top of your body, a little one just behind the feedneck, i forgot the size but whichever allen key fits perfectly in the hole is the right size, make sure the hammer is released, fiddle with it till you feel the allen key drop into the lug. back it out till it doesnt catch, and begin turning it in little by little till it finally does, and then give it just one more tiny turn to make sure it DOES catch the sear.

adjust the timing collar (cylinder on the rod going from the trigger to the 3 way) by loosening the lock screws on it and turning it either towards the 3way or toawrds the trigger to make sure its in enough to where it doesnt leak, and it should activate the 3way just a bit after the Hammer is released. too close to the trigger and nothing will happen but a bunch of leaking or literally nothing at all, to far towards the 3way and it will activate too early or will keep the bolt held back.

I used to have a flash game bookmarked that was extremely helpful on showing you how to time an autococker.  I got the link from detrevni.  Maybe he still has it floating around somewhere.

Nice cocker, btw.

Ah, I remember that! That Flash helped me out back in the day as well. Unfortunately, I don't have it anymore.

thanks for the help, and ctch as soon as i understood
what you were saying it got it to work correctly. I took
a video but I can't figure how to upload it. Basically
it cycles fine but every five or so the back block gets
stuck and doesn't fire. After I pump the trigger again
though it will release and fire, any idea what I need to
adjust? It's either the lug or the timing collar.
also what's best for lubing the bolt? And I found a few
places that say I should drop some oil into the asa,
should I?

a few drops in the ASA, fire a couple of times and the air system is oiled up, thats really all it does.

okay, yeah i did that for my pistols a few times.
I think i worked out the kinks, it's definitely not
perfect and i still need to adjust it more to make the
timing closer but I think i got the gist of maintaining
it

do i just have it unadjusted or tuned wrong because this
thing will hiss air out of the three way, it's like
sometimes for an unknown reason to me it won't want to
fully cycle and air leaks out the three way. Is there
something wrong with it? How do i fix this?

you most likely have it adjusted too far in or out.

but the rod on the inside is made only of brass and they bend very easily. It could be slightly bent.
