Does anyone know of some good high fairly high output smoke grenades for a cheap price? And if so where I can buy some?

Go to any fireworks shop and try a few. But generally smoke grenades aren't a good idea on the paintball field.

^^ Good distinction. Given the number of idiots that play, hot grenades is probably a bad idea.

I know they sell those little dinky ball ones with firework packs, but I'm looking for something a little bit better. Doesn't have to be any crazy industrial 500 acre smoke grenade, just something to add some kick to the game. How much are the ones you guys have bought anyway?

They burst on impact no explosion. You can make your own. The Tippmann's squadbuster paintball grenades are decent.

Yea I've used a Tippmann squadbuster grenade, wasn't too fond of it, or at least not too fond of paying 4 -5 bucks for it and all. I'm probably going to go with the make your own method, but I still think exlosive ones would be awesome. They gotta exist somewhere, or there's gotta be a way to make an explosive one. In a way that wouln't jack people up.

Oh yea that's not a problem, I got the non-explosive ones covered, or Youtube does for me anyway. I was just wondering about the explosive ones, something to give out a bang.

the Bang would require some sort of explosion and posting explosive recipes can be "hazardous" on the 'net.

They used to make explosive paint grenades.
Local shop owner still has one, and explained that its an M80 with paint, gunpowder, and a pullfuse.
Needless to say, the project died after a while.

even the pull pin types get hot, the distinction between the 2, is that the flame isn't exposed.
http://www.smokegrenade.net/Product/fueslitsmokegrenade.htm I bought a whole bunch of the top ones, and was in the process of modifying them, when my local field outlawed smokes altogether. Now I have about 25 sitting in an ammo can. |

Did you buy from the www.smokegrenade.net site? I want to buy from them, but I want to be sure there ligit first. I got scammed about 120 or so bucks frmo a paintball site a few years ago, so I don't want sumthin like that to happen again. Weary on anything that's not eBay.
