Me and my buddies were talking about how in the military, everyone you first meet and befriend are all done without any sort of visual prejudice. Everyone has short hair and the same clothes, so you only relate by personality which is pretty cool, but the first time you go out together in civilians it's hilarious to see the prep, emo, slacker, surfer, and political guy all walking in a group.
So it brings me to wonder what everyone here wears. If your not into brands, just say your not into brands or stay out of the thread. Even in your brands target, I'm certain nobody will hate on you for what your comfortable in. If I had to classify myself, I'd say I dress preppy. Ralph Lauren, J Crew, Vineyard Vines, Lacoste, and Brooks Brothers is the vast majority of what I wear. I own 3 or 4 pairs of sperry's with that, or some flipflops (its hawaii man) most of the time. So how bout you guys? |

Normally I don't really pay much attention to brands, I mainly only spend larger amounts of money on watches, shoes or jackets. Element makes a great colder weather jacket that I absolutely love, and I normally wear Etnies shoes and a Modern Amusement watch.
Other than that, I don't really pay much attention to what brand something that I'm wearing is. Edited by Skillet42565 - 04 July 2009 at 8:30am |

I guess I would classify the majority of my stuff as preppy. I really don't pay a whole lot of attention to brands, I just wear stuff that I like. I wear a lot of Ralph Lauren, Hollister, and Hurley. For shoes, It's usually a pair of Nikes, Adidas, or Tims. I used to always wear a hat but since I got my hair cut, I haven't worn one.

Usually jeans n a t shirt type, I dont know what type that makes me.
I usually do pay some attention to the brands. I Like a bit of Gstar and Started to like a bit of Jack n jones lateley, A few armani t shrts and some prada in the wardrobe for going out. For normal day to day there's some Gio goi, henleys and the like. I know exactly what you mean about the prejudice's going out the window and you end up with the chavs getting on with the goths and the surprise when they go out in there civys. It's quality |

I've found myself liking Ralph Lauren stuff a lot, as far as shirts go. The cut of their dress shirts is a little more comfortable in the shoulders than others I have found, and I can either get the standard stuff or some different patterns in their "Chaps" line they sell at Khols and such. Also, really not that expensive, I think that paying about $3-$4 more for a button up shirt is worth it to not feel snug in the shoulders all the time.
I'm also a fan of Penguin by Munsingwear clothing. I have a few "The Earl" polos and button ups from them, all very comfy. I never really put too much thought into pants. I have a lot of Dockers brand chinos, because they are really comfortable and a little more dressy than khakis, so I can wear them to work. My belt is Fossil I think. I've had it for years. As for shoes, I've yet to actually wear dress shoes to work. I've been wearing solid black Vans slip-ons, and so far nobody has noticed or said anything. Also, I have a quite large collection of paisley neckties, which I am a big fan of. I wear them to work all the time. As a matter of fact I actually own more paisley ties than I own non-paisley ties. I don't know what you'd call the style, but I prefer black jeans, black tennis shoes and over-sized t-shirts with smart ass sayings on them.

Top: T-shirts: Generally without any sort of clothing brand on them. If it says something, it has to be related to some thing I've done or a group that I was once in.
Bottom: Cargo shorts of various shades of khaki. Long khaki pants and jeans. On hot and/or wet days I might wear boardshorts. Feets: Old, worn down sneakers; one pair of which was on ESPN. Boots on cold and/or rainy days and every time I go flying. No-show socks. Accessories: Ray Ban aviators. |

Well, being that it's summer, I'll usually wear plaid shorts and some variety of Tie-dye, band, or my beloved NORML shirt along with sandals.

Shirt: Band Tshirts, sports teams shirts, paintball company shirts. Occasionally a polo shirt.
Pants: Cargo shorts or cargo pants. Jeans. Shoes: DC is pretty much all I have worn for the last couple of years. Always have a hat on my head. I don't know what my first impression is, but I don't care. Edited by jmac3 - 04 July 2009 at 3:19pm |

Most of my clothes come from Kohls. I mostly wear Bullhead jeans because I like them and Pacsun has them for a decent price. I don't own any khakis or polos or plaid shorts. i usually wear my vibram 5 fingers or brooks or flippy floppies on my feet.

I am also a Kohls shopper but only for shorts. I usually get the khaki cargo shorts or right now, I got the plaid shorts on usually fron Urban Pipeline. I usually wear either Woot shirts, highschool shirts, or now my college shirts. I also wear stylish nike 6.0 shoes. I only rock the nikes and nothing else.

I love my Bullhead jeans, though I only bought them because Pac Sun had two pairs for $40. Still comfy as hell, and there cut is great because its not real baggy but not super tight. As for Ts. Anything from Express. Best $20 T-shirts IMO. For shoes. I always wear Converse All-Stars, ALWAYS. I have about 4 pairs that I frequently use now and probably going to buy more once I secure a second job. But I've been considering changing up from just T-shirts to maybe adding a blazer or button up cardigan and such since I enjoy looking clean cut. |
