Need some advice!

Ok, so there is this chick iv been talking to for a while now. Last night we start talking and she tells me that she's realy into me.

 
SO, heres my delema. She told me that friday she's heading to NY for a few months to see her dad. The thing is, I wana ask her out, i have wanted to for a few weeks now, but the NY thing is killing me because:
 
1) I can ask her, she says yes, and then something can happen.
2) I can wait, but then i risk her finding a guy in NY.
 
Any help for the 17 year old? I honestly am stumped right now.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Only problem is that she is busy till she leaves, and shes already graduated, so i wont see her in school.

other than that, I'm not so sure.  I would only hope that she's sorted enough to continue wanting to be with you while she's in NY if ya'll kept in contact.

I don't see the problem. Let her know that you dig her too and hopefully when she comes back, you guys can get together. Until then, relax, business as usual. If she finds someone in NY, it wasn't meant to be. Be young and have fun. Take it from an old married fart that took crap wayyy too seriously when he was younger.

Ha, yeah. Idk what ima do, but after reading this, it reminded me of what i normaly do. So im thinking this is what to do. Il go along with the normal plan and see where it takes me. Thanks man.

Trust me, I know it's tough to maintain. Make sure you keep in touch with her while she's gone, but no pressure. Don't call her every five minutes, give her room to breath and enjoy her time in NY. Show confidence, but let her know that you are thinking about her. Asking a girl to "go out" before she is leaving is like whizzing on her leg to mark your territory and can come across as insecure. Don't assume that just because she leaves, she will find someone else. If she is into you now, she will be into you when she comes back.
