Has your buddy considered a Tippmann Pro/Carbine.  There awsome guns right out of the box and are quiet possibly the most durable/reliable markers out there.

You can get a decent setup for around $190 from www.countypaintball.com

I actualy sold a hopped up 98c (MANY upgrades) to keep my at the time bone stock Pro/Carbine.
AGD 68 Automag
Azodin KPII
Sheridan PGP2K
Tippmann Crossover XVR
Tippmann ProCarbine
Tippmann SL68-II

I heard the pro carbines are actually really decent guns.  Ill tell him about those.  So far hes looking at,

1.  Spyder Victor Pack

2.  Tippmann power pack

3.  Spyder Xtra kit

4.  Brass Eagle Maurader pack

My friend just wants to start out paintball.  I dont think he wants to spend $1000 on his first gun.  Hes looking for a pack in the $100 range.  Hes considering a Tippmann power pack.  He has like $250 saved up and he could buy a spyder xtra pack, but he doesnt want to spend all $250 just in case he doesnt want to continue paintball.  He can buy anything in the $100-$200 range.  Please, constructive advice only.

P.S:  Retards like rockerdoode make fun of people who dont have the best equipment.  I bet he still has a $20 paintball blowgun.

wow, that hurts my feelings...now, listen to me.  I gave you a hard time and apologized, i also gave you a website, and a good package to look at...now what you just did was mean and i hope you can admit that and apologize cause THAT, was retarded...

edit: oh yeah, and if you read posts carefully you would see that i have a 2k3 pirahna, 9oz Co2, a mask, and a fricken hopper...hope you had fun giving me a hard time....jesus...

They're not great, but for under $100 the Rebel line of markers could get you into the game. The cheapest ones we sell are $56, which leaves room for a tank and a cheap mask.
