First, the balls are loaded into each Qpod by way of the loading silo. The silo is a 500rd container with a hose coming out of one end with a crank on the end of the hose. The Qpods are inserted into the crank and the crank is wound, both torsing/winding the spring inside the pods and loading balls into them.

Second, the Qpod is engaged into the adapter on the gun. The adapter engages the spring and causes it to untorse. This both spins a column in the pod and winds a wheel at the end of the pod. The turning column sends balls to the end of the pod with the wheel on it. The wheel pushes the ball into the hose.

With this system you can feed at any angle, even upside-down. The spring tension causes the column and wheel to keep putting pressure on the paint meaning a constant stream of paint is being pushed through the hose into the breech of the gun. However, the spring won't unwiond any unless the ball can move forward. This prevents feeding past your detent(s). It's a great loader, and yes it does defy gravity! All force feeders do including the HALO B, AGD WarpFeed and Empire Reloader B.

First, I'm glad you ditched the drop. And for the record, we were telling you to do so not b/c it is fashionable, but b/c we all know that a unimount setup is more ergonomic.

Second, if a Q-loader feeds faster than a halo, than it is b/c it is applying more force to the ball stack, meaning that it is MORE likely to double feed on guns w/ weak detents under normal playing circustances. Then again, the only way a halo double feeds is w/ worn rubber detents and small paint... obviously not an issue for the mag.

And last, I just traded for an X-mag w/ a ULT pin installed and a Logic blade trigger. I'm looking forward to electro/mechanical bliss in that thing. I should have it in a few days as it shipped today. Definitely growing to like the looks of a mag.

and no drops on any guns. Period.

Actually, the Qloader is less likely to feed past detents than a HALO B. It almost never does. The HALO B does have this problem on some markers. The Qloader is able to prevent this since the spring only unwinds when a ball is able to move forward. If there is no room for a ball to move forward (meaning there is another ball or a detent infront of it), then the spring will not be able to unwind until the ball can move forward. The HALO B's motor does not have this regulation since it is controlled by a board instead of mechanically.

Also just to let you know, using a ULT on an X-Mag or E-Mag in E-Mode is not reccomended. It will reduce your rof since it doesn't reset the sear as fast as the solenoid engages the sear. It messes up the gun's firing sequence basically. Good luck with it though. Oh, I now see that you said it just has the pin. I don't exactly know how that might effect it. As long as the on/off assembly is able to recharge fast enough it should be fine.

And yes, the uni is more comfortable. I used the word fashionable because a lot of people think the uni is just all around the greatest thing for everyone. It's not. Not everyone is going to like how it feels. It's not more ergonomic for everyone. Some people like drops better. The same way some people like 45* frames more than 90* vert frames. It's not a replacement for drops, it's an alternative.
