I've a Tiberius 8 and I'm toying with the idea of getting a second one, just because I love pistols (I shoot IDPA.) Getting a pistol is really really expensive compared to pods, but they only fix the problem of your gun running out of paint. A second gun will fix any problem you have, especially if you play with friends and not at a range so you can just drop your main. Problem is Tag 8 mags are reeeeaaally heavy, so carrying a lot would be a burden.

I plan on carrying six mags, but it was suggested earlier to carry 40 mags and use it as a main, and I just don't see that being fun. In IDPA I shoot my CZ-75B in ESP and my M&P9 in SSP. I'm a marksman in both, very close to expert. I'll could probally qualify for expert if I went and shot the qualifier today, but I'd have to miss a regular match and I'd rather get the practice in.

I guess that would be a little excessive, 40 magazines is heavy for anything though. I wouldn't want to carry 40 delta 68 magazines, if not heavy then bulky as all hell.

Actually, I said 50 clips, but hadn't really put too much thought into carrying them as it was just a passing idea.  Bandolier strap?  A wild guess at half a pound each would only be 25 pounds so no problem.  Plus, I'd look BA.

Even with a bandoleer no way. Have you messed around with these things? They're heavy as **edited**. About a full pound each. I cut off the belt strap and the tie down and I'm using the loop the tie down used to go through to hold two 3-mag carriers on my belt and they're pretty heavy. I might be able to lug around a bunch with a backpack, but that wouldn't exactly be tactical. Plus they're like 30-40 apiece, it cost me a fortune to get what I have now.

The whole point of the pistol is to go in light. In the rec games that I've played with the PGP2k it's been up to 15 on 15, and I've got ten or so shots, but I also have a team backing me up. There are often new players at the field, so I can give them some direction, lead the charge, and do some damage. Even empty I can get some surrenders if I'm bold about it.

You've got to carefully pick out the shots you can make from the ones you might make, and the shots you shouldn't bother taking in the first place.

The caves have the advantage of darker areas. People are so used to being shot at as soon as they peek out that if you let them, they'll walk right by you, or out into the open into 'cover' directly across from you, and you can take your time putting a paintball into their side. Scares the crap out of a good many of them too.

many people here keep saying a pistol is a noob choice, they suck and so on.  but they obviously havent run outta paint and been saved by a pistol.

i got a delta .68 and its served me well.  its accurate and reliable.  but to get it accurate it will go through more gas.

why not empty the paint of the pistol into the marker that you're going to have a better chance actually hitting someone with?   Presto.  $100 10 round pod. GG.
