actually dont think tippmann was the first... just the first to mass produce it.

have you ever held one? the us-5 and a5 are made of the exact same things but the grip on the us-5 is stronger and theres no cyclone to go wrong.

hah yeah i know how that means and saying they stole the complete design bodywise is wrong... mp5 stuff aside... for 2 guns based on the mp-5 they look completly different.

(look at the handle, hopper, barrel, vertical adaptor, trigger, foregrip, screws, safety, paint and how the us-5 is generally smoother.)more also

Buddy.. the US-5 is POLISHED, the A-5 is NOT... if you look at a Stock flatline shroud, that is black polished, that's basically the US-5's coat right there. Polished will always look "smoother"

Cyclone's really don't go "wrong" the worst that happens is a ratchet breaks.. easy to replace and very cheap.

Tippmann released the A-5 before PMI came out with their US-5

Once again, all that so called "smoother" is "polished" the A-5 is flat-tac...it's not going to look that smooth.

i thought we decided we were done with this.

i didn't mean the polish (which i did also mention) is smoother. i just meant the general body shape of the us-5 is a little smother.

not calling it a bad or good thing just saying it's a difference.

but you can see that they dont look at all alike right? (for mp5's)

The design is the same... it's just "finished" differently. If you know what I mean basically they took out the Cyclone part and implemented the 98cs vert feed, they seem to have the same ASA...and a tombstone adapter.. foregrip looks the same and is in the same place same with the "peep" sight and front sight, the tag name is even in the same place as on the A-5...comparing side to side, they are pretty identicle, coat is different, they included a different safety stuff like that, but no doubt they are EXTREMLY identicle. Personally if I looked at both of them and didn't know anything about them, I would actually think the US-5 was a better gun because it's polish finish and full metal grip. However I am still an A-5 lover, but I'm not gonna say you're US-5 is horrible.. I'll just say I'd PERSONALLY rather have my A-5.

but youve never used one

most reliablilty issues are created out of nowhere by people who just hate them. the us-5 is 95% as customisable as the a5. and is even more customisible if you count the hopper.

its as reliable as the a5 im not gona say more but i will say =

in my opinion they are better than a5s partly cause i hate cyclones, love egrips and they are cheaper.

the us5 is $280 cdn the a5 is 315cdn

a a5 egrip is $150

a cyclone is $100

you save approximatly $70 cdn with the us-5, enough for a decent barrel.

1. You dont know if I have tried them. I could be the person who designed them for all you know. (I'm not...)

2. The US5 is not a total piece of garbage, but nothing compared to the original. It breaks down. Do you think everyone on www.pbreview.com is lieng because the US5 really is the best marker ever created and they dont want it to take over the Tippmann A5? No.

3. If you dont like cyclones, either get a 98 custom, or modify your A5. Its not rocket science...

4. A5 E-Grip: $69.99 at someones proshop (Somebody on here just bought one)

I just bought one and I live in America, it was $100.

Now, given that, I'd still take my A-5 over the US-5 anyday, however I WOULD use the US-5 as a backup gun..end of story, let the US-5 on this forum DIE so these arguments stop.

I know, I was just giving an example that I would rather my have my A-5 + Flatline + QEV + X-Core + Vortex Mod +... ok just look at my "Sig" I would rather have all that stuff, on my main gun, which is my A-5.

Yes I know you live in Canada, but $100 USD is around $100 CDN, there is not a huge difference. And Im not ignorant, people give things biased reviews sometimes. But the US5 has some flaws, deal with it.

This thread wouldnt have evolved into an arguement if you didnt preech on how awesome you think your US5 is. Im not expecting you to say it is horrible or anything, just give your honest opinion on it (Which you have) and thats it. This and every other US5 thread wouldnt turn into an arguement if you were not so persistant on how you think that your marker is NOT a copy what-so-ever of the Tippmann A5 and if you accepted the fact that the A5 is better than the US5 in a bunch of ways.

I dont like saying that other guns are better than mine(when they are), or that they have nicer features(Closed bolt  Autocockers COUGH), but I do.

And btw Mr. Blonde, I know that one USD does not equal one Canadian Dollar, but I know they are around the same.
